You don't need to install anything.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

SOURCE: won't focus

If the camera was dropped, it is possible that something was knocked out of place. That sounds very likely in your case. You should also make sure that the batteries are good. I have a Kodak camera that uses rechargeable AA cells, and they do not last long at all! Mine is a C-743, which has an actual viewfinder, though I suspect yours only has the LCD screen. Those idiots at Kodak think that cameras don't need those anymore, now that they have image stability programs. THEY ARE WRONG!

You may need a repair so expensive that you should consider trading it in for a newer model. These days it is hard to justify the cost of repairing a camera.

Back in the days of the Retina IIIC, Kodak sold some great cameras, and frankly I own two Kodaks now myself, a C-743 which is a pile of junk, and a Z-712 which I love. I believe that Kodak has some of the best image quality available on a digital camera, because they were one of the first camera companies to learn how to tame the contrasty CCD that actually takes the picture in these digital cameras....

is a way to do this. take out your mmc card of what a card you have and put it in card reader, then conenct with copmuter , ciopy your image files to the directory that you have in the card for pictures, if not known where put it directly in the card without directory, then take your card again put it in your digi camera and enjoy seeing your pictures.

Its a samsung digimax A5/A53 - batteries are fully charged but still keeps telling me the same thing 'low battery'

I understand that your brand is Samsung, but you have listed this as a KODAK camera.

I don't know if this applies to Samsung products as well as a C875 KODAK camera. But I hope it helps if not. Please re-submit your question under the correct brand. Thank you. Trouble shooting is as following:

1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. Please use lithium batteries Ni-Mh or rechargeable Batteries (2000 M.Amp or higher).

2. Clean the battery contacts.
a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth.
b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera

3. Turn on your camera without the memory card.

Kodak C875 digital camera - when turned on sometimes the lens moves out about 1/4 inch, camera clicks and lens moves back in and camera turns off. Also there is some clicking when the camera is turned off....

Remove the batteries and clean the battery contacts inside the camera with a soft cloth (a heavy buildup on the contacts may require cleaning with a fine wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that the cleaning leaves in the camera, and then reinstall the batteries. This clears most power-on problems, but if yours persists, check the Kodak troubleshooting guide at:

Flash doesn't work on my c875 easyshare camera

Try going on to kodaks support section of their website.

http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/downloads/dln_ekn031332.jhtml?pq-path=9348

Check if you have the latest 'firmware', if you can, or just download the newest one and install it. Instructions are on the site, along with its download link.
