Have a Zanussi 6344 dishwasher, when starting the machine it starts pumping en then stops. When adding water the same problem, starts pumping to drain the water and then stops again ? It drains perfectly, seems the machine thinks there's still water inside, is there some sensor that checks the water level or so ?

get a tech out there, as these appliances get more sophicated, they become nightmares its best to buy a basic model

Water leakage from the tub - sump and various
connections (pump, upper spray arm duct etc.);
floating sensor blocked mechanically; microswitch

faulty.

First, try to tilt dishwasher and see if leaking water from its bottom.

Maybe a clogged pump. Take the pump a part and clean the filters and inside the pump. Check to see if there is food jammed in the hoses while you are at it.

if you can here the drain pump run at the start the fault is with the water valve or blockage in the side tank on the lh side. if you dont here the drain pump it possibly the heater thats down to earth. the electronics can detact it and not start the prog if heater faulty.

You seem to have a blockage,have you checked the filters lately.Also check the drain hose and the pipe that the drain hose goes into,if they are clear then the blockage is down in the bottom of the dishwasher in the pipes or the drain pump.

Either the exit hose does not reach a high enough point or the waste-pipe is blocked. I had this problem in both situations.

Check float valve. It is probably stuck. This tells yuor machine to pump the water out and keeps the water valve from opening. Often it is something small that was placed in the dishwasher and lodges under the float telling machine that it is full of water when it is not. The float is somewhere on the bottom inside the machine typically. Make sure it moves freely.

You need to reset the computer on the bottom. Had the same problem with mine. The Blinking led means the heating element is bad and will not operate.
