Not a specific charge light but the battery level lights should blink. If you have no lights that turn on on the joystick when you turn the joystick on then the chair is not charging, Do any lights turn on when you plug the charger into the chair then into the wall?
Hello, Invacare does not have Reset Buttons on the power for the batteries. They only use fuses. Now if the joystick has a display and it says to press a reset button and it did not used to say that then the programming has be lost or changed by the rain or battery power. You will need to have someone with an Invacare Programmer reprogram the chair or a reset switch can be purchased that will plug into the joystick and allow you to get pass the Press Reset command on the joystick.
It sounds like the joystick has defaulted back to some other programming. A Reset Switch is a switch that plugs into one of the Mono ports on the joystick. You will need to either have the chair reprogrammed by a service/dealer of power chairs or purchase a reset switch (sometimes called a momentary switch) to plug in to the joystick. The Reset switch has a long wire with the proper plug on it. There are many different types and prices for one of those so getting the chair reprogrammed may be easier.
First check if you have power present at the charging port. If you have power (24 volts) then the batteries and wiring are not the issue. If you don't then check the battery post fuses. These are "L" shaped brackets with a white square fuse held on the positive post with a through bolt and nut. On older chairs these are known to become loose and or blow just when you need power or stop suddenly.
Also check the big Anderson connectors at the power point at the end of the battery box. Check for solid connections. If there is 24 volts here to the control box, next check the controller connector.
If there is +24 at the controller connector but 0 at the joystick charger port you have big issues. Either the traces connectors in the controller are fried or your joystick has major issues.
The "remote" refers to a joystick remotely located away from the controller. In comparison, an integral joystick is where the joystick and controller are integrated into one part.
There is a problem with the remote joystick. Could be a bad connection or bad harness to the remote joystick. If harness is fine then the joystick has issues and needs to be replaced or rebuilt. Try the 4-wire harness first.
Do you have other equipment so you can see if its the dock, antenna, or power adapter that could be faulty? If so, I would do some trouble shooting. If it is the unit, you may have to find a replacement.
The M51 does not have a stability locking kit. The Invacare TDX SP has a gas strut stability locking kit that just had an extensive recall campaign associated with it. Please describe your issue in greater detail.
