Hello- Check to see if the door switch is broken. You should see a little lever coming out of the top of the frame where the top of the door meets the frame. This lever gets depressed by the door. If the door switch is ok then you should have someone out to take a look at it. You also may not be getting 220V through the outlet but if you have already reset the breaker this is less likely. Good luck, best regards.

Frigidaire electric dryer model gleq2152es1 lights wont turn on and wont do anything

Hi ana piedranayari05, this is AP! Thank you for your post

I understand you are having trouble with your Frigidaire electric dryer not turning on. Make sure the dryer is still plugged into the outlet, and plugged in correctly. Also check to see if the house fuse is blown or circuit breaker tripped? If so, Replace fuse or re-set circuit breaker. Check to make sure that electrical circuit is not overloaded and correct. The dryer must be on a circuit by itself. Overloaded circuits can damage the dryer and possibly cause damage to home. Have a licensed electrician check to make sure it is on a circuit by itself. Additionally, the thermal limiter could have tripped or possibly an internal problem with the dryer. A thermal limiter automatically turns off the motor in the unlikely event of an overheated situation. A service technician must replace the thermal limiter after correcting the fault. If you have check the plug, fuses, and circuit breaker and still no power I would recommend contacting a local technician to diagnose and service your electric dryer.

My dry quite working after my was work in electric box he was flipping power on and off

Your dryer is a 220 appliance and should be on a circuit all by itself. Are the items in your circuit box labeled (Lights? kitchen, etc.) One should be labeled "dryer". If you cannot locate one that is labeled for your dryer, Check out the position of the circuit breakers. If the dryer breaker is turned off it will be in the oppoite postion of the others.Caution: DO NOT do what he did and begin flipping breakers! If your dryer breaker is in the off position,is you should be able to flip it back on. Before you do this, have the dryer turned off.

If this does not work, unplug your dryer and leave it unplugged for 5 minutes or so, so that the dryers' operating system can reset itself. Then try turning it back on.

All of a sudden dryer won't come on. Checked connection, OK.

Check your circuit breakers. Your unit usually has a double circuit breaker. Find the correct circuit breaker and turn it to the off position to reset it then turn it back on.
Good luck

Problem with hotpoint as66vvxna1 dryer

There are a couple of things that you can check. FIRST go to the electrical box where the circuit breaker or fuse for the dryer is. Sometimes on half of the circuit breaker is tripped allowing the controls of the dryer to work, but not the heating element. Turn off the breaker and turn back on. Or replace the fusees. If this does not work, then you may have a loos wire or a burned out heating element. Sometimes there is a bad high temperature switch. Do the circuit breaker or fuse first. If the washer did not spin out the water well enough, the water can short the element to trip the circuit breaker or blow a fuse.

Magic Chef electric Dryer won't start

Do you have power going to the receptacle. You can first go to your house panel and look for the circuit breaker for the dryer (usually a 30 amp 2-pole brkr.). It could be tripped. So first, put your dryer in the off position. Next, go back to your circuit breaker in your house panel. Turn off the breaker, and then turn it back on. This should reset the circuit breaker for the dryer. Then go back and try turning on your dryer. If this doesn't work, feel free to contact me again. However, this would seem to be it. Good Luck to you!

No power @ Dryer receptacle

Turn off breaker, Check and tighten lugs that feed dryer circuit at the breaker and at the receptacle, If that doesn't fix your problem you ll have to trace the wiring from breaker to dryer for broken wires.
