The Rancilio does not heat up and I have reset the thermostat, however, it did not seem as though it had tripped. I think it is a bigger problem! Thanks.

Safety thermostat for rancilio silvia is on the boiler and has a red button on top.Press this button down and you should be ok.
Other thermostats cannot be reset - just replaced.

Machine is not heating, the lights should flash until it heats up to 1.2 bar on the top gauge. If not check the water level in the machine and check the red reset switch to see if the thermostat tripped.
Yes, unplug from circuit and remove the top screws, then press all the red buttons on the thermostats, one of them has tripped, you will hear the click when you find the right one.
