AG-456 I'm thinking of buying an AG-456, but I was wondering if there is any way to connect it to your PC andf edit the clips in the PC. Like USB Or something.

try a teck shop like jaycar-tandy- radio shack or any shop that sells the bits and pieces used in the radio assembly hobby.

ag-456 vf is black and white only.

do u have a laptop with firewire port 1394 and port on the Camera it is there ,u can easily connect thru fire wire link with 4 pin cable cable buy a cheap one from store like 10 $ there is no need for buying a branded one bcoz quality is not compromised in any way this is digital signal, if u dont have the laptop with firewire then u have to spend more on PCMCIA FIREWIRE CARD for it or PCI firewire card for desktop which ever u like and then u also need a software to capture the video which i think u have in ur pc , no need for drivers just connect and it will be auto available in the capture devices list of the capturing software, just go and do it

bcoz ur camera is MINIDV TAPE there is no other option to get ut footage on PC for editing

the sound you refer to during recording on the ag-456up is probably bad bearings on the video head. unfortunately, this part is no longer available. any good electronic repair shop should be able to clean the lens. a new battery should be available from wal-mart, circuit city, best buy, etc.

Hey I think it would difficult to find a manual for a AG-455, though being very similar to the AG-456 (which seems to be more popular) would you be happy with the manual for that model? I downloaded the AG-456 manual from somewhere last year but unfortunately can't remember from where. I do have the PDF file if you're interested though.. You need to connect your DV socket (the one next to the USB ) via firewire to your PC. If you don't have one on your PC you'll need to install a firewire card. You will also need Video editing software. If you have XP the windows movie maker should work.
