Phone holds charge from 12-55 min. and then goes dead

I bought this Siements 4215 Gigaset two months ago--used. Had to buy new batteries recently and installed them less than a week ago. What's wrong with the phone that it won't hold a charge for nice long uninterrupted chats? My original phone gave me no problem in this area until the whole phone died--I'd had it for several years.

Your handset or charger has gone bad (provided you installed rechargable batteries), or both. The previous user may have installed alkaline batteries (is their a white powdery residue in the the charge compartment?), and that can ruin the charge circuit. Either way, you probably need to contact repair. You can go to www.cordlessrepair.com

The phone does not hold charge... dies after a few minutes of talk time

Quite probably it's the battery. Open it, get the specification for battery and buy a new one. Be careful, there are many very similar batteries but connection to phone is different.

Samsung Freeform says ''no battery,'' why?

With your phone powered on, connect the charger to the phone. With your phone unlocked, press and hold the END key to power off your phone. The phone will now shutdown and then restart to the charging screen. As soon as you see the screen with the battery and the word "Charging..." under the battery, press and hold the END key to power on the phone. This must be done before the phone has a chance to display "No Battery".

Alcatel OT 205 battery dead?

No solution.  The battery was dead, and buying a new one would have cost more than the cost of a new telephone.  So I bought a Sagem ....

Phone went dead while talking

It sounds like you have a defective battery. Usually when batteries won't hold a charge for very long, then it's time to replace them. Was the phone brand new or used ? If it was used then I am surely gonna say battery, but if it was brand new then it might be something else. I would say that I'm 90% sure you have a bad battery. Hope this helps solve your problem.

Try this:
Pick a handheld, press Menu - H/set settings - Reg Handset - Select Base 1, enter 0000 as password. Now on the bottom of the base station press and hold the Register button in for about 10 seconds or until the h/set beeps.
