Your diverter valve is cloged with lint and not fully closed and is letting wash water go down the drain.

In my opinion
This would be the water level sensor as the water should not get that high were it goes over the top the sensor should cut in and shut the water off at the level you set.
The problem can create more and can be dangerous as water and electricity not good best get it looked at.

Fisher and Paykel, EcoSmart with lid lock. After initial fill, all wash lights go out, advances to rinse, then beeps continuously. Have to shut machine off and start over. Continues to wash, but leaks out of top panel under lid. Machine is level. Any Suggestions?

yes loosen the wing nut nd remove nd replace , u can order part from F&P direct 1800650590 ask for spares

it is unlikely its coming from the machine rather some you put in there,try a short hot wash with strong detergent,no clothes

if less than 2 yrs warranty and washer has 2 yr warranty (ck owners manual) call service ..if not remove plugs on front sides of top remove phillip screws lift top outer tub is supported by 4 swing arms one or more is probably loose or broke but can be replaced also have known then to just pop out of position with really bad off balance load

thats it , remove those 2 screws and the top will flip back, the new "clothes guard"( neck ring), will snap right into place, be sure to rehook the spring to hte left front susension rod!
