When I start my lawn mower it will just stop after a minute or so I got about 5 minutes this morning it is very frustrating especially now my lawn is looking neglected please help

It sounds as if its running out of petrol,have you checked the tank for dirt,is your fuel mixture correct,or you may need a new carb kit,as if the diaphram is faulty it will cause this,rgds

To rule out a fuel tank breather issue, just slacken off the filler cap so as air can enter the tank, if it carries on running replace with a new filler cap
Mower stops running after mowing about 5 minutes. acting like it was running out of gas unitl eventually stops. I wait 10 minutes and then it restarts, runs good, then erratic...then quits again?
The most likely problem is the ignition module. It is probably going out. when a bad ignition module gets hot from use, it stops working, which kills the lawn mower since there is no spark. Once it cools off it sometimes works. This can be a some what costly part, $60 - $80. You might want to take it to a lawnmower repair shop and have them check it out, since there are other issues that could be the cause to your problem. If you have a spark tester, you could test the ignition module to see if you get spark, both before you start the mower, and after it quits on you.
