No, the distance is too great, the range of a normal wireless router is usually about 30 m.

Globe willow is oozing white sappy stuff front trunk. The tree is only a year or so old I think. How can we correct the problem?

Possibly the following slime flux, but that is not something I could be sure it is from your description.

http://shadetreeexpert.com/tree-diseases/

Curiously, wetwood and the associated slime flux help protect the infected tree. The bacterial growth creates conditions in the wood and slime that inhibit wood decay organisms. Furthermore, if the slime flux continues to flow over a number of years, the liquid that is toxic to other organisms can discolor the bark, kill moss and lichens on the bark and even kill grass at the base of the tree. The stain on the bark can be either light or dark color. There is no treatment for slime flux but that fact may not stop insistent garden center sales clerks from selling homeowners "a cure" anyway. In the past arborists would insert a tube in the tree to allow the slime flux to flow more freely and drip onto the ground. But this technique is no longer recommended because it doesn't improve the problem and the hole for the tube is just one more injury to the tree.

Disease and Fungus
Be on the lookout for bark diseases in globe willow. One of the worst is slime flux disease. Symptoms include a smelly, frothy slime that oozes from branch bark. The ooze is from bacterial activity inside the branch, which forces sap out under pressure. There's no cure for slime flux. All you can do is make sure the tree gets enough water, and prune away the dead and diseased wood wherever you can. Clean pruning tools after use to avoid transmitting disease to other trees.

How do I make my lemon tree healthy & bear fruit. I got rid of the bugs but tree looks unhealthy. No fruit for 3 years. Please help

Treat your lemon tree like an Olympic athlete - feed well and regularly, hydrate well and keep diseases at bay. Trim out dead wood and if leaves are yellow, mix some Epsom salts into your citrus fertiliser. When you mulch, stay away from the base of the trunk - citrus are prone to collar rot.

Can I use the wood chip pan directly (not the side chute)?

It is a big process it has 7 steps they are as follows
  • 1

Soak hardwood chips in water for at least 30 minutes and up to 2 hours for larger chunks. Drain them completely before adding to the smoker unit. Use 1 1/2 cups of wood chips when smoking for less than 3 hours. For longer cooking times use 3 cups of wood.

  • 2

Place the bottom unit that contains the heating element on a sturdy surface, away from flammable materials. Make a foil pouch containing the wood chips and punch a few holes in the top. Place this pouch onto the pan containing the heating element. The chips can be added directly to the pan, but the foil pouch makes cleanup easier.

  • Place the large water pan onto the unit and fill it 2/3 full of water or apple juice. The water or juice will moderate the temperature and provide moisture for the cooking food.

  • 4

Add the cooking grates to the top of the unit and close the lid to allow the unit to preheat.

  • 5

Place the food on the preheated grates and cook until done. Keep the lid closed as much as possible to maintain the heat. Open the vent on the top of the lid to allow the smoke to escape.

  • 6

Check the water level occasionally by opening the door on the side of the Charbroil Electric Smoker unit. Add more water as needed.

  • 7

Add more soaked wood chips after a few hours if the smoke begins to die away. This is optional; the chips provide flavor but are not necessary for cooking the meat.

We have 2 inch wood and i need to make them 1 inch when i am cutting it, it baws

Hi you are basically breaking the structural strength of the wood, the same applies when cutting most materials steel in particular, so i think that your only solution is to buy / obtain some wood of the size you need, new wood behaves differently to old wood ie the tree may be a lot older before it's cut down so it is not a flexable as younger wood off a younger tree, if you understand what i mean.

Big dent in drivers side door, window won't go down. I don't want to pay someone to fix it. Can I remove the door panel from inside to bang it out?

Yes you can. Just do it with steady force and not hitting or kicking it. The glass might break. I would get a few pieces of wood to use as a toolhead. There should be several slots in the doorframe to get a 1/2 inch extension through or use a 3/8 inch drive.

Then place the extension on the block of wood ( a depression in the wood will help) and then apply force to your end of the extension. You can use another piece of wood to save your hands when you push. Gradually press the doorskin away from the door cavity.

I use this method to pop small dents and it should work for you.

I hope my solution is very helpful in solving your problem.

When i try to do a horizontal cut my saw seems to bite in for a start, but then just runs free in the tree not taking a bite or drawing the saw in, this has also happened with 45% cuts, is this my own...

Sawing with a chainsaw is mostly 2 part, a sharp chain and good technique.

If your bar is straight, your chain is razor sharp and the oil reservoir full then it boils down to technique.

You cannot run a chainsaw through horizontally on a big tree, what will happen is half the time the tree's weight will begin to collapse upon the bar and pinch it in the tree and you will not be able to saw any further.

You will notice that when felling a tree the vertical cuts are always problem free because gravity pulls the off-cut away from the saw. With horizontal cuts fire your blade in at an angle, and in cut in the direction the tree (or whatever) is likly to fall. As you cut rock your blade to help it bite into the wood and resist jamming. If your chain jams do not keep on the gas for you will burn out the clutch.

For an awkard cut instead of feeding it right through cut towards the middle to create a notch, then cut from the other side, the weight of the tree will fall on the cut portion leaving your blade free to slice through.

Just think logically and make sure that the blade can feed through without getting pinched, this is well represented if you get a log and support both sides then cut vertically in the centre; it will get pinched imeediatly. Now cut from the underside and it will fly right through.

This is difficult to describe but plan your cuts and test it out.

    Cheers,

    Kevin
