It looks like Miele would like you to get them to replace this for you. There is nothing online how to do this job and there is no Service Manual available. I guess it is older than two years for standard warranty repair and you don't have the extended 10 year warranty?
Refresh me pls. Is this the one with the curved glass? If so, there are two nuts on top. Make sure you do not lose the silicone washers. These are vital to go back in.
For a manual go to miele.com.au/au/domestic/service/aftersales_operating instructions and download the book. Beware, its 80 pages.
Alternatively, just go to www.miele.au and search the site with your machine model number, it took me 30 seconds.
