Turned tv on heard a pop ,now when turned on no picture and it makes a static noise

Sorry bad news these TV's work off of lights that shine thru the back of the screen if you heard a pop it was the power board that turns on those lights not an easy fix sorry.

Because of the amount of voltage required to run the older-style "tube" televisions, many problems, sounds and noises occur in tube televisions than in the newer, flat-panel televisions. Sounds occur for multiple reasons, with some being just part of the normal process these televisions run through in order to operate. On the other hand, some of these noises may indicate a problem with the television that could warrant repair.


Worn Insulation
Voltage against metal. Inside your television's tube, there are many wire parts that electricity runs through in order to make the television run. Usually, these parts are insulated with a rubber or foam casing that prevent the sound of the electricity. If the insulation surrounding these components is thin, weak, worn or absent, you are bound to hear buzzing, popping and cracking sounds coming from your television. While this may not mean you have to run out tomorrow and get a new one, the chances are that your TV's tube is working extra hard to make it all happen for you, and you may want to start pricing new sets for the near future. b> Static During Warm-Up b> Just like rubbing your feet on a thinly-carpeted floor can cause static electricity, the same can also build up inside your television. If the noise is relatively subtle, only occurring when you first turn it on, and not overly-disturbing, the chances are that the cracking and popping sounds you are hearing are just the television's way of warming up and getting rid of the unnecessary electricity. Bad Lamp b> Deep inside the heart of your tube television, there is a light-bulb fixture that makes the entire unit light up so that you can see a picture. If the cracking and popping sounds you are hearing tend to go along with the picture on the TV becoming unclear, it could be that the picture tube is failing. It is very difficult and costly to replace the picture tube on a tube TV, so this is an instance where you may benefit more from buying a new television than taking the old one in for repair. it is your color wheel

This is a color wheel problem.
I would recommend to use professional help because you can make more damage to the optical engine. Not to mention index delay have to be re-adjusted in special service menu after repair is complete.

Sounds like your oven heater failed. Not sure if its a fan oven or static type. If you hear a fan inside the oven then its classed as a fan oven

the loud pop you heard was probably a capacitor blowing its top. The grinding noise is likely high voltage arching that was occuring due to rising voltage since capacitor isn't there to smooth it out.

3 times blink shows lamp cover is removed or not installed properly on TV.
Please take out lamp inside TV and check, seems its broken as you heard loud pop.

just might be the bulb. Have you unpluged you set make sure its cooled down and remove the buld examine the bulb ussally when the bulbs go bad they shatter not always but it good to check them out as the first step

Sounds like the flyback and horz output is shorted.
