Linux support for Delta 66 does exist with a paid commercial license, however you might try the free download from
that supports OSS (open sound systems).
Make sure you choose the Linux 2.6 (x86) DEB file... that's a Debian package type that Ubuntu bases its builds upon.
Download this to your desktop with the web browser then double-click on it to install it to your system. Additional instructions form the opensound.com download page may provide additional information that you need to know, for example, the driver name may appear as envy24 when you configure OSS to work with your system.
If you're running a 64-bit edition of Ubuntu, then this won't work.
