My Summer Infant Best View Handheld Color Video Monitor with 2.5" Screen shut off while I was using it. I thought the battery died so I plugged it in and nothing happened. I left it charging all night and it is still completely dead.

if camera and base are within a few feet of one another does it have a problem obtaining a signal (syncing ) ?? as if it works ok then there might be a object that is getting in the way of the signal , radio waves move from its transmitter (camera) towards its receiver (monitor) in a straight line , if there is too large a mass in the way then the radio wave can't penetrate it and will be "lost" also ck both the camera's and bases battery levels (if they have one) for proper peak power level , as it takes energy to drive the radio signal towards its receiver .

just decide which camera you want next one to be so say camera 2 on your monitor and on the back of the camera you want to add there is a pairing button press it and it will pair, and the just add on to the next one say camera 3 if you have another camera just press the pairing button on the camera your adding each time

There is no other way than buy a new one.

My monitor was stuck on one of my cameras and when I turned it off and on again it was stuck in the hello screen. I took the battery out and put it in again. Then I pressed the button on the left (I have a best view) and pressed the right arrow key until I got to the view can screen. It turns out something was wrong with just one of my cameras as I could view the other one. I unplugged and replugged that camera and that solved my problem!

Are you out of range? Turn the both off, unplug, take the battery packs out, and maybe "reset.". Worth a try. Good luck.

It's finicky. You have to hold the power button down for a few seconds.

I know I can easily go through and delete the bad ones once I view them on a larger screen or have had time to soak them in - but the fact is by the time I find time to do just that, I've already accumulated quite a few hundred photos and then its a daunting task.

Keeping the LED monitor portion on the entire time sucks the battery pretty quickly on mine. It has an automatic shut off button but if you're like me, you probably check it constantly. I found that when I'm not turning on the LED portion and also turning it off when he's awake and with me, it keeps the charge MUCH better.

I know this is an old post but I was having the same problem w/ my monitor. It's an older version but I believe the only difference is it doesn't have the soother. I have the best view day/night handheld. Anyway, I couldn't find help so I did this. From the main menu on the monitor, go 2 add/delete camera & select it by pressing in the middle button that moves the camera around. There is a button on the camera itself. I faced the camera & monitor 2ward eachother & pressed the button on it, along w/ the center (toggle/select) button in the front of the handheld monitor. Careful though, cuz it'll add it more than once & u will have 2 go back & delete.
