Clean Filter Red light

I have two Pure-lon Air Filters and both machines the red 'clean filter' light will not stop flashing even when I have just cleaned the filters. There must be a way of cancelling the warning light.
Thanks.

I cleaned the filters as well earlier and the red filter light still blincked to clean the filters. Then I pushed the power button for about 10 seconds continously and then turned it on and the light turned off.

A lot of these things have a reset method where you hold power (or whatever button's around to do the job) for 7-10 seconds on starting it up again....

My pure ion (non-advanced) was doing the same thing. I did a few different things while trying to fix it and am not sure which one worked but it is fixed. 1) I unplugged the unit and took both filters out. 2) then wiped off the 5 metal contact areas in each of the filter slots on the unit with my finger, I also wiped off the metal contact area on the filters themselves especially where they contact inside the unit. 3) I plugged in the unit (without inserting the filters) and pressed the power button (it blinked once) 4) Then I inserted the filters and powered it on. And voila! no red clean filter light!! Hope this helps yall! I just wish I knew exaclty which thing fixed it.

Can somebody help fix the problem I'm having with my Honeywell air purifier....when I press power button it won't work all I see is red light any button I press red it wont do anything....pls!!!!.....

I have the same unit.
Have you cleaned out the removable filters?
also the red light at the bottom indicates the time to clean the filters.
to reset it, use a paper clip. The red light on the bottom right is the filter indicator light, what looks like it should be a light beside that filter light, is actually a reset button, just poke it with a paper clip for a few seconds to reset. The bottom red light goes out

I have cleaned the filters, and i still get the Clean Filter message. It is running fine, but the red letters Clean Filter are still there... any suggestions???

How did you clean the filters? I run mine through the dishwasher by themselves and it works pretty good. The tops and bottoms of the filters near the edges need to be wiped pretty clean.

My sister gave me her Brookstone Pure ion Air purifier....The "clean filter" light flashes red....I wiped the filter with a damp cloth...so think it is clean...?....Is this how to clean it? ....and how do...

Wiping it off won't clean the filter. I submerse mine in hot soapy water ( oxiclean w/any favorite multipurpose liquid cleaner.Let it air dry completely before placing it back in unit.I have tried the dishwasher method and it didn't clean it.I also thoroughly wash all crevices of the unit.If red light doesn't go off, reclean the filter(s). It has all ways worked for me.

Red light won't go off

To RESET the Electronic Filter Check:
When the filter check light remains on,it is time to check/clean the HEPA-Type
filters and reset the filter check,if needed. With the unit powered on,insert the tip of a ball-point pen or
paperclip into the hole next to the LED filter check light and hold for approximately 5 seconds until the
light turns off (Fig 5). Depending upon your individual usage (environment and hours used),you may need
to check and clean the filters more or less frequently. If the HEPA-Type filters are cleaned before the filter
check light turns on,the filter check should be reset at the same time.
These cleaning intervals are intended as guidelines only. Performance of any filter media is dependent
upon the concentration of contaminates going through the system. High concentrations of contaminates
such as dust, pet dander and smoking will reduce the useful performance of the filter.
NOTE:The HEPA-Type filters are not washable.

Kaz Honeywell Tower Air filter rest light

When the filter monitor light remains on, it is time to check/clean the IFD™ filters and reset the filter
monitor, if needed. With the unit powered on, insert the tip of a ball-point pen or paperclip next to the LED
filter check light and hold for approximately 5 seconds until the light turns off (Fig. 3). Depending upon
your individual usage (environment and hours used), you may need to check and clean the filters more or
less frequently. If the IFD™ filters are cleaned before the filter monitor light turns on, the filter monitor
should be reset at the same time.

Brookstone pure ion filters

You need to reset it, unplug the unit and take out both filters. Then, plug it back and and simultaneously and firmly slam both filters into the back of it at the same time. Before putting both filters back inside the until, also vacuum out the insides in case there is hair/dust inside of it that has accumulated.
Also, make sure your filters are 100% dry before every putting them back inside the unit.
Good luck!

Red light on air filter

After spending hours searching for this supposed little hole easy to miss, I called customer service. I found out that it's easy to miss because it doesn't exist!

Here's the correct answer: Once you've replaced the filters, turn the unit back on. Then, with the machine running, press and hold down the on/off power button for about two seconds. The red light will flash and then turn off.

Hepa filter

The red light indicates a plugged filter. Replace the filters plug the machine in and get a paper clip. Streighten out the clip and put it through the tiny hole in the top. You'll feel it push a switch that will give a click you can feel. Keep holding the clip wire down for several seconds. When the red flashes remove the clip wire. The light will stay off if the filter is clean.
