Most "Open Heat Error" messages are caused by a bad fuser. Order a new fuser from Dell.

Reads open heat error

This sounds like a problem with the fuser or possibly the fuser lamp. You can try turning the printer off for about ten minutes to cool the machine off and then turn back on. If that doesn't work you would need a new fuser unit. The fuser is located behind the door on right side of the machine. There are four screws used to hold the fuser in place. Good Luck, I hope this helps.

System error E000 how do I fix it. I tried what it said in the instructions to turn it off for a while then turn it back on that didn't help. Canon NP6025 copy machine.

To delay the 3 second shut down and enable the technician to access service mode; open the front door and pull out the transport unit. Do not actuate front door microswitch. Press the service mode button, enter " * 4 * ", scroll to error clear and clear error code. Machine will automatically turn off power after clear. Power up machine and test.
If the power shuts down after error code has been cleared, the cause of the error has not been corrected. Correct cause of error code and clear error in service mode.

We have a xerox c20 copy machine. Yesterday it stopped working and an error message showed up on the screen as follows "Open Heat Error" The copy machine will come on but after the warm up...

You need a fuser.
What has happened is there is a heating mesh in the heat roller that has gone bad.
It is a very easy repair.

Here is the best place you can order it from. Ask for Britt ok?The part is in the $200 range. You open the right hand door like you would to remove a jam. There are 4 silver phillips screws, and one plug you disconnect. Takes maybe 5 minutes to replace.
I know of no one who spares just that particular roller since it has a very unique heating element.
NO it is not me, just a very reliable parts source I have dealt with.

Open right side door and check for a jam in the fusing unit (the one that is normally hot). Remove jam carefully. Hit P * C * and enter 14. Push the start button like you are making a copy. Machine should reboot and code should not return. if it does, you may have a dirty themistor, or blown lamp.
