This sounds like a problem with the fuser or possibly the fuser lamp. You can try turning the printer off for about ten minutes to cool the machine off and then turn back on. If that doesn't work you would need a new fuser unit. The fuser is located behind the door on right side of the machine. There are four screws used to hold the fuser in place. Good Luck, I hope this helps.

(red) press 1 when u see the copy sp mode and press 7 (datalog) and press ok, look for the sc/ jam counter reset. press the execute 2x. turn of the machine in the main switch (orange switch on the lower front side) the shortcut mode is by pressing 7807 na press execute

Press the service mode button, enter " * 4 * ", scroll to error clear

the cause of the error has not been corrected. Correct cause of error
code and clear error in service mode.
open the back cover and you find a two wire connector just near ribbon connector it is thermistor connector the printer is sensing this connector as open or not connected explore and fix.
You need a fuser.
What has happened is there is a heating mesh in the heat roller that has gone bad.
It is a very easy repair.
Here is the best place you can order it from. Ask for Britt ok?The part is in the $200 range. You open the right hand door like you would to remove a jam. There are 4 silver phillips screws, and one plug you disconnect. Takes maybe 5 minutes to replace.
I know of no one who spares just that particular roller since it has a very unique heating element.
NO it is not me, just a very reliable parts source I have dealt with. https://www.partsdrop.com/store/
Open right side door and check for a jam in the fusing unit (the one that is normally hot). Remove jam carefully. Hit P * C * and enter 14. Push the start button like you are making a copy. Machine should reboot and code should not return. if it does, you may have a dirty themistor, or blown lamp.
You Can make reset for this code by:
1. Open the front door of the machine & lift the upper half
2. Turn the machine on
3. Locate the srvice switch on the main board( backside of the machine you can reach even without opening the back cover)
4. If this code is coming from time to time just change the upper heater roller
My printer is giving the same "Open Heat Error" message. Before this it started smoking while printing and I turned it off. Help!
