I suggest you ensure the ground is made to a sensible ground point and the supplies are also good and the antenna is also properly grounded and then monitor the supply voltage and the current consumed by the radio until it begins to distort. If the voltage and current remain steady the fault is either local interference or inside the radio, probably in the tuner.

If the current climbs and the voltage remains steady the fault is likely in the audio section...

SOURCE: dehP6700 mp restet everytime keys is turned on.

first red is ignition or acc (turns off and on with the key) yellow is constant power (always hot keeps memory) orange is illumination (lights up radio) if vehicle doesnt have a seperate illumination wire connect it to the ignition wire. now process of elimination your ground is correct because it worked with all wires to acc your acc works because u had all them connected to it and it worked your problem is in your yellow or constant/memory i suggest u test it again take piece of wire any old thing long enough will do and run the wire directly from the battery under the hood and just run it outside the car through the window and connect it directly to the yellow wire make sure u have a good connection at the battery on the positive side if u have test light or volt meter test the wire before connecting it to the radio if it works then u know there is a problem with the wire from the vehicle (fuse wrong wire bad wire ) if it doesnt work make sure ground is connected tight and that paint is cleaned of the surface where ground connects and that the yellow wire to the radio is tight in the back of the radio.

Connecting a new stereo with red for AC power, black for ground, Yellow for battery fuse wire. The car stereo wiring has orange, black, yellow but no red wire. it has 3 others as well

Orange is your steady power source and Yellow is your switched power source so your new stereo would connect Red to Yellow and Yellow to Orange in most cases but it is best to use a test light to check before making connections.

What color wire is the power alpine

Almost all car stereos have standard color codes for power, there are Yellow, Red and Black, where Yellow is the direct current from the battery of the car (this always have power on it so don't let it near anything metallic or will cause a short), the Red if for accesory power (this only have current when the key on the car is on accesory mode) and the black is Ground.

Red and Yellow cables need to have power at the same time to power the stereo on, so if you want to test your stereo put the yellow and red cables together on the positive terminal of your car battery and the black on the negative, this should turn on your stereo.

Car stereo wired to battery and fuse box what wires go where

If this is an aftermarket stereo, The red wire needs to go to a power source that turns on and off when you turn your key on and off ( a fuse in the fuse box ). The yellow wire needs to have power all the time like its connected to the positive battery terminal or a fuse in the fuse box that always has power and the black wire is the ground and needs to be grounded to the negative battery terminal.

I installed an older used stereo. I found the red wire is power, the black is ground, What is the yellow wire with the 5amp in line fuse for

The Yellow is your Ignition wire, It controls the stereo power when the vehicle is on/off. It can be spliced with the red wire, however I wouldn't suggest it unless all other options have been used.

Stereo help

Make sure the red wire on the unit is hooked up to power. The blue antenna wire is hooked up (or to the factory amplifier) and the yellow wire on the radio is hooked up to a key on power supply. If it works and you lose the memory when you shut the key off, switch the red and yellow wire power supplies.
