X2gen MW19R user manual

I just got the above monitor yesterday, from e-bay. It came in the original box, with everything, including the user manual. It works great. I just want to send the manual to FixYa. It seems unavailable. And one suggestion with this monitor is the power supply. It is rated at 12v. 4amp max.(that is 48 watts max.) The monitor runs at 45watts, kinda too close for me! If it was rated 4a. continuous duty it would be OK, but it's not. The manual is in a PDF file on my desktop looking for a home.

Maybe they put more volts on it, because of the cable length. About putting the manual on Fixya. I do not know how you would do that. I know that you can have a little more volts and be okay but not enough is bad. Are you sure it is the correct cord?

Your screen resolution or refresh rate is set out of limits for the monitor. Check your monitor documentation to determine the correct resolution and refresh rates for the monitor. Then reboot the PC, go into SAFE mode, then re-adjust the display resolution there. Once you reboot after that, the monitor should be fine.

My 19 inch x2gen mw19r monitor just went black its still on but wont display a picture so now im using my old tube monitor want to fix the x2gen

titter101, You left out telling us the "DATE of MANUFACTURE" for your unit. You will need to use CRT unit while researching info on x2gen mw19r unit. If unit out of warranty, then you or qualified technician will need to do the investigation and repair of unit. Read the fixya profiles of "budmrtn" , "buddymc" , "12fixlouie" to see if a DIY repair will work for you. 12fixlouie

Screen goes dark after 1minute, power lite stays on

Possibly the lcd ccfl inverter. Ebay sells universal ones for 9 to 25 dollars each. Monitor repair knowledge needed to replace this part.
It could also be your external power supply if it is not OEM. Or if it failing under a load. If the picture is good when it is on, I always start looking at the power supply and the ccfl inverter/transformer. Please understand I am not an expert on LCD's I just seem to get lots of failing ones. ---Hope this helps.

My x2gen mw19r monitor keeps turning off i will hit power on and it will show picture for one second then turn off then turn back on and keep doin that unless i hold the power button to off

Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). Screen goes black but power light stays on

Hello. I had the same problem with my X2gen 19" (model MW19R)monitor. In my case, the monitor would turn off after 20 seconds or so but the blue power light would stay on as well. I had to replace a high voltage capacitor located in the backlight power supply board. There are 4 blue capacitors on the board which are identical and they are marked as 27J 3KV. Fortunately, I only had to replace one of these capacitors ( it was turning a yellowish brownish color ). Hope this helps.

Hey...Dude,

First of all inspecting all the caps closely...see if any caps has a stress mark like a pluffed on top. Those with a pluffed replaced with the same type of voltages that mark on the side of a caps. Those with no pluffed need to tested with ESR meter to see any leaked. If it leaked replaced those too...

Try checking on the power board , may be ESR of capacitor is faulty and power resistor shorted and burnt.
