Hi, Red light blinking 3 times shows problem with lamp cover. Lamp cover is not fixed securely in your tv after lamp replacement. Lamp cover is first thing that was removed to replace lamp, check lamp cover and make sure its back in place properly. Thanks.
If its Sony KDF-42WE655 TV that goes to standby and LED blinks 3 times then check Lamp Door that seems not fixed properly. That happens when lamp replaced in TV. If its different model number TV, let me know exact model number.
The flashes are fault codes. It means your system is faulty. If it is intermittent then it is more than likely a dust issue. Buy an air duster, spray out the back and restart. Should be fine
