Intercom Feature I have the NEC DTU 16D-2 phone. I have heard that folks, with the same phone in other parts of the office can listen to your conversation (while your sitting at your desk, not on the phone) via the microphone/speaker function? Is that possible. How do you do that? How do you use the intercom feature? Thank you

If the button is assigned as a feature button then, press Feature, Redial, button to program, dial 1 for intercom option, dial the extension your programming, Feature to write and exit. If the button is just a spare button not assigned as a feature button, then your programmer needs to do that before this will work.

Press Feature and then 1. This will turn on the MIC.

Might be that the Do Not Disturb is on. Try pressing feature 69 then the feature key again.

However...WARNING! I wouldn't recommend doing this unless you are technically savvy, as one wrong move could totally mess up all of your phones!!!

Yes, you just need to program those buttons on your phone. Press "feature" then "redial" then press the button you want to program, then press "1" then it's extension # (example: 1-0-0 to program the button for extension 100) then press "feature". After you've programmed those extensions, the intercom should work.

hi,1.to adjust the ring tone volume. from your phone set,press speaker dial 601.press the arrow key up or down to adjust. 2. if your station is programmed as system admin phone,then you can press feature 80 feature.to toggle between day or night.do not press speaker button while doing this. 3.the headset port need to be program,or you can do without it,by purchasing the headset came with the adapter and connect thru the handset cord. the new model is DTH-16D.
