I accidentally removed SoundMAX Audio from my PC and now I have no sound.

Hi.

Today I was removing applications from my PC (Toshiba Portege S100) using add and remove programs and I accidentally deleted SoundMAX Audio. Now I have no sound.

I use an XP OS, so I've been looking around aaaaaaaaaaall day on Microsoft sites etc. for a way to get my sound back, but so far nothing has worked.

I need sound for my job. It's the middle of the night and I'm starting to freak because I have to go to work tomorrow.
Does anyone know what can be done?

You can download any/all the Windows Vista device drivers for your model laptop from the Toshiba WEB site from their download page.

remove the rtc battery it's look like a bateery on the organizer its round and flat remove it then disconnect to remove the password

Upgrading memory on Portege S100
you might wan to contact toshiba and ask them about upgrade possiblities. I have the same computer and have found that its best to contact them or a proffesional when dealing with upgrades. I would tell you for sure if I had gone through with my upgrades, but that would kill my warranty. Dont forget to rate thanks!

Hi, i have the same model TOSHIBA protege s100, i cant installing a fresh copy of Windows XP Pro onto a Toshiba Portege S100 laptop.

The only way to obtain the response for the challenge code is to send your unit to an authorized repair facility. I work at the depot repair facility in Lou.Ky. And we have to send a request to Japan or California to get the response code.
