Bought a electronic deadbolt at Rona (Rona Collection). Installed it and i can open/close it with the remote control or a key. Can't open it by entering a code. I thought the factory code was 1234, but that doesn't work. Can't find the manual eighter. Please help or let me know how to reset the code. I'm thinking someone at the store might have change it from the default. Thanks, Tom

I have a Rona with two remotes which I cannot seem to code. Also the manual specifies step 14.2 as absolutely necessary but there is on step 14.2 in my book. It ends at 14.00! The master lock works good.

Is there a way to delete one of the code? I also have another kind of problem with the exact same lock.. Sometime, the knob gets kinda sticky, like there was a notch in the system. It will do that a couple times, then get smooth again...

I bought Rona Collections Electronic Deadbolt. My problem is when my door is locked and when you pressed padlock button without entering your pin code the door will unlock. Any solution to this problem?...

You must ensure the deadbolt is in the locked position when attaching the control mechanism. The control mechanism must also be set to the locked position. Turn the manual knob to the left then attach the mechanism (with the batteries) to the flat pin. You can do all of this with the door open, so you can enter the codes. My initial install created the same issue. It worked properly out of the package, so that meant that I screwed something up. You don't need to return the item. Just do a little fault finding.

I have a Rona keyless lock with two fob remotes which I cannot get to work. The master lock works fine. There also is reference to step 14.2 in the instructions but there is none in the booklet with that...

I've located a number that you can call for RONA customer service:

1-866-283-2239
8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Eastern Time)
Monday to Friday

I believe this is the link to RONA where you find your lock featured for sale:

http://www.rona.ca/shop/~deadbolt-digital-deadbolt-rona-collection-253947_locksmithing-accessories_rona-product-line_shop

Unfortunately, there is no downloadable instruction manual to download, ETC., so call the number and begin the process--I hope you get an answer without too much telephone runaround!

Good luck!--and please give feedback if this helps you toward a solution.

When i try to lock or open with key pad it will make the sound like its closing but the bolt does not move. can only lock and open with key.

The deadbolt may very free inside the deadbolt hole... This system is low torque and a over torque clutch may slip if the dead bolt it's not completely free inside the deadbolt hole... Also, if you try to open the door before to unlock it, you may block the deadbolt... take care to unlock the door before open it. to be sure that the dead lock is ok, you can turn the manual knob and be sure is turning very very easily.

Also are you no that POWERBOLT is a 3 codes memory? go to that link to see more info about that : http://www.fixya.com/support/t8006865-not_overwrite_old_codes_just_keeps

I am trying to reset the password for the Rona deadbolt but cant find my manual. i need the steps

I looked for a Rona manual.

The Rona website has advertisements for air-travel miles, so I guess the page doesn't have enough space to show product manuals.

The descriptor-page uses 99 words to describe the digital deadbolt in tiny print so there is no clue as to the operation of the product. Maybe they do that so you have to buy another deadbolt to get the instructions.
There is a 'contact-us' page that lets you fill out your personal information to share with them so you can receive further run-around. But wait, the form doesn't work because it doesn't accept postal codes. Wow, but there is a phone number 1-866-283-2239
https://shop.rona.ca/member/customer-service

Best of all, the Rona website solicits their customers to become a dealer for this poorly represented product.
