Just want the Orion TV (Model: STV 2763) to play VHS videos

nobody uses VHS now.
I converted all mine to DVD-R 22 years ago
and not those are in trash, video tape movies are ugly.

There is a possibility of some damage to the mechanism. You will have too look around for plastic parts that are damaged.

Another possibility is the mode switch is playing up. This tells the electronics what position the mechanism is in. Sometimes a spray of Servisol Video 40 on it will cure it. But if it is worn out, then it won't. You can get them, but to fit it in you will need the service manual, as they are very tricky to set up right. For example they are rarely set up in the eject mode!

The simplest way is to connect the screw on connector marked Output on the back of the VCR to the screw on connector marked antenna or cable input on the back of the TV. There will be either a switch or menu item on the VCR where you chose to have it output on channel 3 or 4. Chose which you prefer and then tune the TV to that channel.

Very carefully. Follow directions.

Toss it out.

check channel and check plugs

Make sure you have the cables connected correctly from the playstation to the VCR.
Yellow colour is Video output from playsation to Video input on VCR.
To get the audio from the playstation to the VCR just match the colours of the RCA connections.
Do not forget to select video input on the VCR as well.

I am assuming that your TV has Video IN source selection.

You need to use the Video/Audio OUTput of the VCR/CD and connect them to the Video/Audio INput of the TV. To do this you would have to use a 3-wire shielded cable with male RCA connectors color yellow, red & white.
RCA male connectors, yellow is usually video, red/white is audio left/right.

as shown OUT of VCR/CD to IN of TV.

Pnce done, play the VCR/CD with a good known CD or tape and set TV to Video mode.
