Sony ericsson hi, i recently bought a sony ericsson w380 but its asking me for my unlock code ( security code i think) but person i bought it off i can't get hold of to see what they changed it to. any ideas on how to reset it?

Hi, What kind of code are you asking for? If it is a network unlock code, You can get the unlock code from www.prounlocking.com/sony-ericsson-j200i/rs8wp9/ at affordable cost.
Here are the steps for unlocking a Sony Ericsson J200i,
1 - Switch ON your Sony Ericsson J200i without any SIM Card,
2 - Press the left arrow key/button once,
3 - Press the button * twice,
4 - Press the left arrow key/button once,
5 - The message "Personalize with MNC2" will appear, (or you will have displayed an unlock menu, select the lock you want to unlock)
6 - Enter the Unlock Code.

your phone is locked or not open line. consult it to a technician.

PUK (personal unlocking code) is a code to unlock security code. Any phone allows three trial of inserting security code; If we insert wrong code three time it ask for PUK., and that is your problem. You have to ask your provider to give you that code. For that you have to call your operator's care centre or help line from landline of other card of same operator. Operator on line will ask you about your mobile no. and 2-3 question regarding your personal detail and provide the PUK code. Enter the PUK given my him & your cell will be unlocked.

Unlocking the network lock is rather difficult by generated codes. All the time it doesn't works. If you got that unlocking code by reeliable sources then try to enter it without simcard, it will not show you network error and will paste that code at the place when it should be.
