Open Windows Media Player.
Click on the Rip tab.
Insert the CD into the computer.
Click Start Rip
Windows Media Player will convert the songs on the cd to a format that the Sansa player recognizes - may take a few minutes.
Click Sync.
Drag the files from the CD to the right window pane.
Click Start Sync.

Presto!

My sansa e260 only has 475 songs on it and its almost full. Why is this, I was told it would hold 2000 songs. I have ripped all the songs from cd's none of them have been downloaded form the net. is it...

It is because you have ripped the songs from the cd's and those ripped songs occupy more memory than average songs. For ejample: a simple song has a bitrate of 128 Kbps and a ripped song it has a bitrate from 224 to 320 Kbps. The difference is the quality of the songs

If you have cds you can copy songs from your cd to your player using a conversion program! I use jetaudio to listen and to rip songs from cd to mp3 and then copy them to player!

Please send the process to Sansa e260 Mp3 Player solve the problem of Recovery mode

If your CD is damaged, you can obtain a replacement from Sandisk.

To enter Recovery Mode, turn off your device, ensure the HOLD switch on top is slid to the right (towards the headphone jack), connect the cable to the device (not the computer yet), hold down the RECORD switch on the side, and connect the cable to a USB port on the computer.

If this does not solve your problem, you will need to re-install the firmware.

Try using the Sansa Dispatch to upgrade your firmware. If this does not work, we may need to manually update the device. This is kind of technical and (in most* cases) voids the warranty.
