Have maytag dishwasher model PDBL390AWB that doesn't get water while running. Would that be the water valve or turbidity sensor. Also noticed on the parts list a screen by the water valve.
Did you already check the inlet hose if its kink? clean the water valve inlet as well, check this link for the manual maytag
There should be power coming from the timer to the float switch to the water valve when the dishwasher needs water. Do you have a voltage meter? Perhaps the float switch is bad even if the lever moves up and down does not mean the switch is allowing current to pass through it. Check to make sure that there is 110 volts at the water valve during the fill cycle and update me on what you find out when checking this. good luck
HI,
If there's no water entering your dishwasher, check these:
Water-inlet valve
Float switch
Water-inlet valve
The water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. If this valve is
defective, you need to completely replace it. It's usually located
behind the lower access panel on the left or right side. It's the
device with the main water line (usually copper) from the house, a
rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two wires attached to it.
Float switch
The float switch is a small electrical switch that's located right
below the dishwasher "floor." Above the switch, on the inside of the
dishwasher, is a plastic cylinder that floats up as water fills the
dishwasher. If this switch is defective, or if the plastic float gets
caught or trapped in the raised position, the water can't enter the
dishwasher. If the float switch is defective, you need to replace it.
Goodluck..
I would suggest to check the information by clicking here if you are planning to DIY.
