The convergence amplifiers are probably bad and maybe some other small parts. On this particular model Mitsubishi changing the convergence amplifiers is extremely tough even for the best technicians. I have seen one like yours that I got in for repair this year that had been messed up by another technician. I charged accordingly to do both repairs... the damage the inexperienced technician did... and the original problem. This repair should cost between $340 and $390 (mostly labor) depending on the region/cost of living.

Any shop with experience should be able to replace the convergence ICs which are the likely problem. This type of repair will cost less than the boaqrd replacment and won't require a conmplete reconvergence adjustment. The parts cost around $25-$40 each (there are 2).
I would look for someone that is able to change the ICs rather than the entire board.

Yes, it can be repaired, replace convergence out chips (two ICs) on main board. If you are not comfortable with TV repair or have no experience, call local tech to fix it. Cost of repair would be $180 or so.
Thats an easy fix. The capacitors on the DM are known to fail . You can get the WS48511 - WS65511 DM repair kit at the following link which contains the replacement capacitors and the instructions on how to do the repair on CD which also contains the Service Manual
