I have a cooks mixer model no. 2111 it's a 5 quart 12 speed mixer. The drive belt that connects the motor to the mixer tools has broken and needs replacing

It sounds like there may be an issue with the motor in your Kenwood Chef Premier mixer. This could be caused by a variety of factors, such as a malfunctioning motor, a problem with the drive belt or gears, or an issue with the electrical components of the mixer. To troubleshoot the problem, you may want to try cleaning and lubricating the drive belt and gears, as well as checking the electrical connections and fuses.
Remove the brush caps on the sides of the motor housing and check the carbon brushes. If they are worn out replace them. They are keyed and will only fit properly one way so be observant. If that's not the problem remove the back cover and check for broken wires on the black control plate. Make sure the switch on the bottom inside of the control plate is making contact. If still faulty check the cable for continuity to the control plate, cable connects to the black wire and the white wire on lower left of control plate. After that you need to check for continuity of the field coil windings. Only thing left after that would be the phase board pcb just above black speed control plate at the back.
Don't worry about the Worm Gear for now. You have to make sure that the Motor
is fully functional by itself: Remove the Transmission Housing Cover (4 screws) and
the two screws holding the Motor down. Lift the Motor off the Worm Gear and set it
on the side (be careful of AC voltages from the Motor and Control Assembly).
Select Stir setting and observe the motor shaft. Is the Motor running? If it is,
Select other speeds to see how the motor performs.
With the motor now fully functional, you can now check the Worm Gear Follower
for worn out/broken teeth. Remember the motor drives the Worm Gear, it then in
turn drives the Worm Gear Follower (you may have to remove the grease to see it)
The Bevel Gear sits right on top of the Follower and drives the Attachment Gear.
I had the same problem. Had to strip the machine down to get to the motor. On the top is a moving plate with various capacitors etc mounted. On the front side there was a Capacitor (At least I think it was) with the wire broken.
I resoldered it and the machine now works fine.
