My GAMETIME watch has a back which just pops off. Once in the battery compartment, you will see plastic disk, with a molded frame. This just simply pulls off, and is not secured in place. You should not have to pry it.

Once this is removed, the battery is revealed. My model takes a SR626SW. To remove the cell, use something small to get under the exposed side. You should be able to pop the cell out without much force.

Before you replace the battery take this opportunity to clean the rim where the backing was. Carefully install the new cell, and replace the cover.

Simple...just did mine Use a quarter in slot on back of watch and turn it slightly to the left...then use a knife gently to pry the back piece off and remove old battery...replace with new battery and snap backing on...use a quarter and turn to the right so the little arrow is pointing at 9 o'clock

SOURCE: technomarine watch battery replacement

If you plan on doing this yourself, find a nice heavy pair of needle nose pliers and put the ends in the knotches on the casing back. Have them as far apart from each other as you can and turn counter-clockwise. If you still have problems opening, put the watch in a vise with the lugs in the teeth of the vise. DO NOT tighten too hard or you will snap the lugs. It dosn't have to be tight , just enough to hold the watch while you turn the back. If you still have problems please let me know and we will find another way of doing this.Good luck!!

SOURCE: removing the back to change battery

I had the same problem.
Remove the watch band.
I had to cut the plastic band away.
The plastic was was easily cut.
The back plate of the watch simply snaps away.
No screws.
There are four corner snaps.
Get under one and the others will pop off.

SOURCE: I can't seem to remove

its probably a screw on back that needs a special tool to open it. but even if you do open it you will not be able to seal it properly

No slot or screw to remove watch back

Check the top around the crystal. Some of those watches came apart from the top of the watch. Generally a few screws to remove. If no screws then the back pops off. Not easy but it may be the way in.
Again, if it's a decent piece go to a jeweler to do the work. Should be under $10.00. to do it.

thank you, gabe.

I have a gametime watch and can't get the back off to change the battery. How do I do this?

Watch backs come off several ways, the most obvious would be screws you would see the screws be very careful not to strip them, the next way is screw off backs there would be even indentations all the way around back where the tool inserts to unscrew the back, if it is screw off you need to go to your local jeweler. The third way is just pop off, you need to make sure edges of watch around back lid are clean (you can do this with a tooth brush) and then look for a lifting spot a small indentation sometimes very hard to find! Use the blade of a pocket knife to gently pry it up it will make a popping sound when it comes off. good luck i hope this helps !!

How do I remove the back from a channel J12 ladies watch after I have removed the 8 tiny back screws? My goal is to change the battery.

After removing all screws you have to use fine pointed tweezers and pry up watch case back using them. Insert between case and case back and pry up using lever action.

How to change battery on a swatch skin watch

  1. Place the watch in case holder. Place the watch in the case holder, if you have one. If you do not, place it on a soft cloth.
  2. Check for room to work. Check to see if there is room to attach the adjustable case wrench and rotate it 360 degrees. If not remove watch band.
  3. Remove case back. Fit the adjustable case wrench into the slots on the case back. Tighten it down until it is snug. Be careful not to slip with this tool as it can scratch the case back of your watch. Work slowly. When it is unscrewed gently pry up the case back taking great care not to damage the internal gasket. If the gasket gets damaged it will need to be replaced with the battery to retain water resistance.
  4. Remove battery. The battery will be held in place by some type of retention device. It will need to be removed. Some clips will be removed by using tweezers. Some clips may be moved using a screw driver, and some simply bend out of the way slightly. Remember how it was removed as it must be put back in place exactly for the circuit to be completed after battery change. If the clip is removed, place it and any screws in a paper cup to prevent loss. Remember how the battery was seated, plus (positive) side up or down etc. it needs to be replaced correctly to work.
  5. Test battery. Using the battery tester check the battery. If it is dead move to next step, if it is not take the watch to a jewelers for inspection.
  6. Clean and inspect battery box. Inspect the battery box the battery came out of. If there is corrosion take it to jewelers for inspection. If there is light dust it may be cleaned with a clean soft cloth.
  7. Buy battery. Use the numbers on the battery and buy a new one. Occasionally the number will be obsolete and you will be referenced to a replacement battery in the battery charts. This is the time to also replace the gasket if you need to. Check with a watch maker or jeweler, or the watch company to buy a replacement. We cannot stress enough how important this gasket is to a water resistant watch, without its integrity your fine watch may no longer be resistant.
  8. Replace battery. Using the plastic tweezers if you have them, or fingers wearing cotton gloves, replace the battery. Never use bare fingers as finger oils may corrode or short out the new battery. Carefully replace the retention device as it was remove.
  9. Replace case back. Make sure that the gasket is in place, and not pinched or caught in the case back when you set it in place. Screw down the case back using your fingers until it is tight and needs the case wrench. Attach case wrench as before and tighten down the case back.
  10. Reset and clean watch. Using the appropriate method reset the watch. Use the polishing cloth to clean off any dirt and finger prints.
OR...take to your local jeweler/watchmaker who has the appropiate tools and let them do it for you!!!! :)

How to replace a battery on a ebel watch?

The most water resistant watches will have a screwed down case back and crown for maximum water resistance, both of which are backed by internal gaskets. These are the types this articlde will concentrate on. To change the battery in a water resistant watch you will need:
  • Adjustable case tool
  • Case holder ' + google_ads[0].line1 + '
    ' + google_ads[0].line2 + ' ' + google_ads[0].line3 + '

    ' + google_ads[0].visible_url + '' + ' Ads by Google'; } else if (google_ads.length > 1) { s += 'Ads by Google
    '; for(i = 0; i ' + google_ads[i].line1 + '
    ' + google_ads[i].line2 + ' ' + google_ads[i].line3 + '
    ' + google_ads[i].visible_url + '

Fossil Kaleido Watch LI22248 replacement batteries???

Depending on the age of the watch it could have a ECR series battery over the top of the 377 powering the movement or it could have 2 377's in the circuit board over 1 377 in the movement.

I always recommend taking Fossil watches to a certified repair shop that can re-seal the watch so you dont void your 12 year warranty and the watch remains water resistant and resistant to small particles.
