Mcdevito75 here, The batteries may test good, however each individaul cell of the battery would have to be tested, also have the chair checked for anything that could be draining the batteries.

My dodge dakota will not idle and the battery keeps going dead

The problem with a lot of dodges is that the computer will loose the idle memory when battery power is lost, to regain the idle just hold the gas pedal a little to keep engine running for about 2-3 min then release the pedal and it will idle on its own, if the battery goes dead it will loose idle again.

As far as the battery going dead you will need to check a few things, first have the battery tested a bad battery that doesnt hold a charge can test good and still be bad due to it can not hold a charge. the battery is charged and if it tests good try this, unhook one battery terminal over night or for as long as it takes to drain normally. if the battery goes dead unhooked then the battery is your problem.

At the same time the battery is tested have the alternator tested. Make sure its tested good. what i mean is tested at idle with all acc on, like lights heater, rear defoger and etc.

Hope this helps. good day

The battery isn't charging some thing keeps killing the battery. The alt seems to be working but the battery want hold a charge for very long.

Have the battery load tested to determine it's ability to take & hold a charge. It could have a bad cell that will drain the good cells. Your local auto parts will test the battery free of charge.
I hope this helps.

My 2002 toyota echo drains the battery over night. Any ideas of what it can be?

More than likely battery doesn't hold a charge overnight. After time batteries don't charge as deeply and can't hold a charge. Jump start and take to any good parts store and have them load test your battery (they do this FREE) Autozone or Advance would be my first choices. While there have them test your charging system - they do this FREE also.

My battery won't hold a charge, but the battery is good

Battery light on? Sounds as if you may need to get your alternator tested. If you can remove your alternator yourself then do so and take it to an auto parts store and they'll hook it up and run a free test for you.

Will not hold a charge

if the battery is not holding the charge -- then it is a good sign that the battery is old and bad and needs to be replaced. you can always remove the battery and take it down to the cycle shop and they will charge and bench test ( load test ) the battery and can tell you if it is bad or not.

My phone will not hold a charge at all. I've taken the battery out, let it set, put it back in for a few minutes and still no charge. The longest the phone lasts without dying is 10 minutes

Hello

Remove the battery and test it with a similar phone to ee if it will hold charges, if it does, it means the battery is good, but if otherwise change the battery.

Next place to look at is the charging port, check with a similar battery and charger to see if it will charge, if it doesnt, change the charging port.

Also test your charger with another similar phone to see if it will charge, if it does, it means the charger is good.

Best regards.

Won't hold a charge

its the battery. the battery holds the charge and the alternator charges it so when you jump the car it stays running because you alternator is providing power when you shut the car off you have a bad battery that isnt holding the charge needed to start it again.

Want hold a charge

get a test light and a schematic. unplug stator plug.start bike ,make sure battery has full charge. test each pin on connector that is attatched to the 3 yellow wires.should light on each pin. if all good check for burn marks around connectors, front & back sides, and on wires. if no power on yellow wires, stator problem. if power, plug connector together, now test for voltage in wires on the voltage regulator side of the connector, to see if the voltage is making it through the connector.if there is power to volt. regulator, test w/ multi meter across battery leads to see if there is charging voltage to battery, approximately 13-15 volts. if only battery voltage(12.2 or less) while bike is running, voltage regulator is no good.if charging good, but bike wont start after prolonged sitting(say overnight) a system amp draw test is needed to see if something is staying powered up while bike is not running, drawing down battery.
