You can blow compressed air into the cooling vents of the fan. If you notice clouds of dust coming out, then it might be a good idea to disassemble the laptop, clean the fan & air ways, & reassemble it back. If the fan has failed & is no longer running, it might need to be replaced.

I had the same problem, but the air didn't help me. I just put a little bit oil in the vent. and now is excellent. Just open the back cover and find a very very small hole at the center of vent and try to put there oil with very thin needle and that's it!!!!

The car is producing a very loud continuous sound, which we can only stop by disconnecting the battery. What is causing this?

There are a few possible reasons why your car might be producing a very loud, continuous sound that can only be stopped by disconnecting the battery. Some potential causes include:
1. A faulty starter motor: If the starter motor is faulty, it can cause a loud grinding or buzzing noise when attempting to start the car.
2. A malfunctioning alternator: If the alternator is not functioning properly, it can cause a loud whining or grinding noise.
3. A stuck fan belt: If the fan belt is stuck or has become worn and is slipping, it can cause a loud squealing noise.
4. A stuck horn: If the horn is stuck, it can cause a loud, continuous honking sound.
To determine the cause of the loud noise, it is recommended to have the car checked by a professional mechanic. They will be able to diagnose the issue and suggest the appropriate repairs. In the meantime, to stop the noise, you can try disconnecting the battery as a temporary solution. However, it is important to identify and fix the root cause of the issue to avoid further damage to the car.

My laptop (sony vaio VGN-CS325J) fan makes a horrible noise

This means that the micro ball-bearings are on their way out if the bearing race smashes then the fan will stop I suggest sourcing a brand new fan and fitting it yourself you might need a star drive look at the profile head of the screws.

Make sure that both the mains supply and battery are removed, the fan will be a simple push to clip connection with only 2 wires.

Fan became way too noisy, my wife keeps telling me to shut it down so she can sleep. I need to work late. Can I replace the fan? Do you have a tutorial how to do it? Is there any other way to fix this?

Don't worry thats not a big problem, you have a lot of dust deposited on the fan, thats why its making so noise.
Once you clean it, your fan will make very less noise, the way it did before.

The computer makes huge noise, I know it is fan, but don't know what to do about that, it starts quietly and than gets realy loud.

If you are sure it is the fan then you should get it replaced otherwise you will have issues with overheating.Sz model is quite a big job to replace i suggest you take it to an authorised sony repairer and get a quote.

Sony vaio fan is making a grinding noise, how can i fix this?

The sony VGN-S460 seems to have an inherent problem with their cpu fans. It is apparent that the fan uses a ball bearing system which over time becomes worn and causes the grinding sound.

The only solution is to replace the entire fan assembly as they are inseparable.

That is definitely a problem from the fan. What you can do is to call sony and check if they still cover Fan replacement for this specific mode.
