the sim card has probably been corrupted go to your local ATT corporate store and they will replace for free and setup your service

really? how did you get phone to work w/ att? i got a new sim card and phone not working w/ it..no service tho sim is activated.

CROHUNTER - you should take it to a mobile service center and ahve it tested the board antenna may need servicing.

send it to samsung for 70$ plus shipping for a REFLASH. or do it urself [email protected]

if you just copy the contact then address will not show and you can not copy addresses from phone to sim or vicsa versa.

I also have a x426 from 2003 and it wont work with the new ATT sim cards either, This is because of the Cingular/ATT merger which created a new network. The older original ATT phone must be unlocked to use a sim card from the new merged network. Try calling ATT Mobility customer service and request the subsidy unlock code. They are required to give it to you upon request, but it takes several days usually to get the code. I know because I used to work at a ATT call center.

We have the exact same problem and our SIM card starts with 8931. Do you think it will work for us??
