I am not going to take credit for information but here the link. Please read, removing the CMOS battery will never solve it nor replacing it.

The CMOS needs to be shorted to zero it. If the machine does not have a jumper to use, turn the cmos battery upside down will connect the - side to both terminals and hold it shorted while you power cycle the machine. It will lose date/time, passwords and any additional settings.
