I have no program when i connect my canon power shot a40 and i can't read my pictures.

You camera has some problem with the internal circuits and hence the main board is not responding. The best you can do is to check the battery power or recharge , check the battery terminals.
If no power comes to the display the camerra needs to be opened and I owuld advice that it be checked for fault to estimate.
