They dont have tracks they sought of float in the middle of the tub held on by the shaft coming off the spider arm on the back of your drum, if you can move the drum back and forth and it makes a metal crunchy kinda noise your spider arm has snapped to fix it you need a new drum and will almost quite literally have to dissasemble the machine into every piece its made of, altho not neccesarily difficult is quite time cosuming about 3-4 hours (thats for someone with experience)

Have you checked to make sure the supports are OK? Is your washer making loud noises during spinning? If so, the basket drive may be broke.

Vibrates, shakes and moves around and has a lot of noise while spinning. It has been leveled and the floor seems sturdy enough.

My washer is very loud when it is in the spin cycle.

if the machine is more than five years old or it gets a lot of use it sounds like the drum bearings are starting to wear. If it sounds like a jet taking off when it begins to spin then thats your problem. Basically bearings have seals which over time and use will eventually allow water in and the bearings will start to wear. Now is the time to get the bearings done before they seize. It can be a laborious and expensive job

My kenmore elite washer has a very loud banging noise when it spins

U will need to remove the washer drum and check the washer drum stablizers and the washer drum bearing, do this to see what is wrong and how far u need to go in this repair.First open the door and spin the inner tub to make sure the tub spins freely, if not you have big problems.

If it does then remove the lower front panel. There are 3 screws along the very bottom of this panel that you can remove and then the panel will come off. Check to make sure the shocks are not cracked or broken under the tub. If not and the unit just recently started shaking a lot, then replace the shocks as they are probably worn out. If it's been shaking since the day you've gotten it and it just seems to have gotten a little worse, then purchase Shake Away pads which are specifically designed for front load washers to sit under the feet of the washer and reduce vibration dramatically.

Kenmore front load washer #44072 drum banging noise

2 possible issues with your washer.
1 or both the support shocks or springs have broken
the drum would look off center even when empty
or rear bearring has worn out.
this is a very common problem with the fridgidaire washer... (this kenmore is a frigidaire model)
problem is caused by very hard water (well water) or improper use of detergent. this machine uses a High efficency type detergent, marked by "HE" on the detergent container
