I have reset the WNDR3300 and used the disc to try to get a new password; however, a window keeps popping-up that wants my username and password. I tried every conceivable combination without any success. I even tried the suggested "admin," and "password." No luck. I also wanted to add security for the N-3300, and the extender, WN802t, version 2.

If you have forgotten your password and do not have a password reset disk, there are a few options you can try to regain access to your computer. Here are some of the methods you can use:

1. Use the built-in administrator account: Windows has a hidden administrator account that can be used to reset your password. To access this account, restart your computer and press F8 before Windows starts. Select "Safe Mode with Command Prompt" and log in as the administrator. Then, open the command prompt and type "net user [username] *". Replace [username] with your account username and press Enter. Follow the prompts to create a new password.
2. Use a password reset tool: There are several password reset tools available online that can help you reset your password. One popular tool is called Ophcrack, which can be used to recover your password by cracking the password hash. You can download Ophcrack from its official website and create a bootable USB or CD to use on your computer.
3. Reinstall Windows: If you are unable to reset your password using the above methods, you can reinstall Windows. This will erase all data on your computer, so make sure to backup any important files before proceeding. To reinstall Windows, insert your Windows installation disc or USB and restart your computer. Follow the prompts to install Windows and create a new user account with a new password.

Reset Your Windows Password Using the Command Prompt

1. Boot your computer using your Windows installation disc.
2. Wait for the setup files to load, and select your language. Click Next.
3. Click the Repair your computer link on the Install Windows screen.
4. Select the operating system to repair, and note the drive letter on which the OS is installed (it is probably C: or D:). Click Next.
5. Click Command Prompt at the bottom of the list of recovery tools.
Now you need to overwrite the Sticky Keys executable with the Command Prompt executable. Sticky Keys is an accessibility feature that allows a user to tap the Shift, Ctrl, Alt, or Windows key once to achieve the same effect as holding the key down. Ordinarily, tapping Shift five times activates Sticky Keys--but with this trick, you are going to make tapping Shift five times activate the Windows Command Prompt instead.
The instructions below use drive letter C: as an example. If your operating system is installed on another drive, replace C: with the appropriate drive letter.
1. In the Command Prompt window, type copy c:\windows\system32\sethc.exe c:\ and press Enter.
2. Type copy /y c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe c:\windows\system32\sethc.exe and press Enter.
3. Exit the Command Prompt and reboot the computer. At the login screen, tap Shift five times. The Command Prompt will pop up.
4. Type net user username password, replacing username with your username and password with a new password.
5. Exit the Command Prompt, and log in using your new password.
To prevent another user from exploiting the same trick to reset your password, you can restore Sticky Keys as follows:
1. Step through the instructions above to boot the PC using your Windows installation disc, open the recovery tools, and launch the Command Prompt.
2. Type copy /y c:\sethc.exe c:\windows\system32\sethc.exe and press Enter.
3. Exit the Command Prompt and reboot the computer. Pressing Shift five times will now activate Sticky Keys instead of the Command Prompt. Store your Windows installation disc in a secure location.

If this is the case, the setup wizard detected an IP conflict between the router and the modem. It means that the modems IP address is in the same range as you router so it has to be changed. If the IP address of your router was changed to 10.0.0.1 , you should be able to connect to the internet. Try accessing the routers setup page by opening a browser and type 10.0.0.1 at the address bar. It will ask you for a username or password. Type admin for the username and password for password (this is the default settings). If it does not work try to remember if you already have changed the username or password. Once you are in, enable the mac clone option. Check if it works.

Solution 1: Reset windows password with password reset disk.

1. If you enter the wrong password when you attempt to log on, Windows displays a message that the password is incorrect. Click OK to close the message.

2. Click Reset password, and then insert your windows password reset disk (or other removable media).

3. Follow the steps in the Password Reset Wizard to create a new password.

4. Log on with the new password. If you forget your password again, you can use the same password reset disk. You don't need to make a new one.
Solution 2: Reset (recover) windows password with password software.Steps as below:
Step 1: Download and install Windows Password Reset.
Step 2: Create a CD/DVD or USB password reset boot disk with SWPR.
Step 3: Boot your computer from password reset boot disk.
Step 4: Recover the forgotten password for administrator account.

To Factory reset your router you need to locate the Reset Button at the back of the router. The Reset Button is the small hole at the back and you need a Pen or a Paperclip to press it. Press and hold the reset button for 15-30 seconds. Make sure that the router is on when you reset it.

To access the router page just open a browser then type http://192.168.1.1. the username is admin and the password is password..

It seems that router wireless setting need to reconfigure,please follow steps to resolved issue

1. Open a web browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Safari).
2. Access the router, usually by typing 'http://192.168.0.1' or 'http://www.routerlogin.com' in the address bar.
3. Login to the router with the Username as "admin" and Password as "password" (please note that the Username and Password are case sensitive).
4. Click on Wireless Settings'(under Setup) from the left menu.
5. If WPA is selected in Security mode, then check the Password that show up in the passphrase box.
now try to reconnect wireless
