the unit don´t run, and can´t be detected by my pc, i don´t have the cd to install drivers

  • Anonymous May 22, 2008

My E260 charges the battery but, my computer refuses to see the device. The USB interface says I don't have a driver installed. Calling Sandisk Tech support they told me the disk does not have the drivers and that the drivers are embedded in XP. They sent me a link to Microsoft to download the latest MTP software and it still does not recoginize the device. Weird. It worked not to long ago.

Half of song list not recognized by Sansa e260

i will surely help you. you have mentioned that you can see all the songs when your mp3 player is connected to the computer. so what you can do is, you can very well go ahead & format all the songs in your mp3 player using your computer. then you transfer a few songs to your mp3 player(the songs which were not getting recognized in your mp3 player). this should solve your problem.

I'm trying to charge my Sansa MP3 player but am getting and error USB Device Not Recognized Help PLEASE!!!!

Try connecting it to another computer and see if it will recognize it as sansa or removable drive. if it does then download the sansa update software and install it. Make sure you disconnect the sansa and connect it when asked. This will update your sansa and add the Usb Mode. Try to connect it to your computer at home it should recognize.... link for update software (http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/Installer/1082/SansaUpdaterInstall.exe) download to a flash drive much easier I used my friends labtop it worked USB 2.0

Sansa e-260

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

MY sansa e260 MP3 player

what operating system do you have? lets assume you have windows xp...first you will have to unintall your device from device manager...click on start, run...type devmgmt.msc...then look under portable devices, disk drives or universal serial bus controller...your device should be listed on either one of them..if you dont see it..click on the plus sign so you can expand it...then once you find your device uninstall it and reconnect it into a different port..make sure it is a 2.0...then windows should recognize it properly..if you are still having the same problem let me know..
