Is there anyway that i can connect a nec vt695 to my tv

Usually it's a warning that the lamp is either close to it's end of life or it has expired.

Do you want to duplicate the image going from the source to the projector on your TV? If so, then if your TV has a VGA port, just use the monitor Out on the projector. If your TV doesn't have a VGA port, you'll need an appropriate converter. (Avoid a VGA to component video or VGA to composite cable.) If you add a comment with more information on the inputs for the TV (or the model of the TV), then I will try to point you to the correct converter.

If you want to get your TV signal to the projector, you would need a set-top box (cable, satellite, digital tuner) as the source. Most TVs do not have a video output. You can connect a computer or DVD player to the projector.

Did you unplug it before you replaced the bulb?did you touch the bulb?are you sure the bulb works?have you reset the lamp hour meter?did you replace all doors, screws and original parts?is the bulb securely in place?

I have had the same problem with my NEC VT695, however, while trying to repair it, I actually broke off two pieces, first the arm that is attached to the lamp cover that depresses the button, and then the actual button itself. Does anyone know any way to bypass this need to have the lamp cover seated 'properly'?

We have the same model here at our school too. I know of two that have done exactly what you said. I am trying to figure out if this is NEC fault. Bulbs are expensive and if the projector and NEC is a fault; we will definitely be moving on to a different brand.
