SOURCE: old dishwasher doesn't drain

Disconnect the drain line from the sink and put it in a pail.
Turn the timer to a pump out cycle and see what comes out of the drain.
If it still drains poorly, replace the pump impeller.

SOURCE: i have a kitchenaid superba dishwasher wont drain

does it make a buzzing sound when on pump? if so then the pump is trying but is either jammed or there is a blockage in the waste hose/outlet u bend. try seeing if there is a blockage in the waste hose first.

My Kitchenaid Superba will not drain. The drain line does not seem to be clogged.

There may be a pump with an impeller that forces(pumps) the water out. The impeller may be defective.

KitchenAid Superba KUDSO1FLSS3 Not Rinsing? No Cleaning at all!

Hi there,

Here are a couple of things that you can try:

If there is hard water residue or film left on the dishes:
Check water hardness.
If the water is hard, use maximum detergent or try pouring 1/4 cup of Dishwasher Magic into the bottom of the dishwasher. I would also recommend using the High Heat option to ensure proper cleaning. To clean the dishwasher, use a cup of vinegar and place it in the upper rack.

Detergent carryover:
Check water hardness.
If it's below 10 grains, use less detergent and the High Heat option.

It is also possible that you may have a problem with the drain loop check valve as it's not sealing. This may cause residue or food to be left on the dishes. For this, I would recommend you have a technician do it, as it requires replacing the entire drain loop.

Let me know if any of this solves the problem.

Kitchenaid superba disposal

IF THE WATER IS NOT IN THE BASIN OF THE DISPOSAL, THE PLUMBING IS THE PROBLEM, NOT THE DISPOSAL.
YOU CAN TRY TO TAKE THE TRAP LOOSE AND SEE IF THERE IS ANYTHING STUCK IN IT OR YOU COULD TRY SOME DRANO IN THE SINK WITH THE WATER STANDING IN IT. THE TRAP IS THE PART OF THE DRAIN THAT RAISES UPWARD TO HOLD WATER. IT KEEPS THE SEWER GASSES FROM COMING UP THROUGH, BUT IT ALSO IS A GOOD CATCH ALL FOR HEAVY ITEMS AND GREASE.
LOOSEN THE NUT LOCATED AT EACH END OF THE TRAP. HAVE A BUCKET UNDER IT TO CATCH ANY WATER THAT DRAINS OUT. REMOVE THE TRAP AND SEE IF THERE IS AN OBSTRUCTION IN IT.PRESSURIZED AIR WILL SOMETIMES CLEAR AN OBSTRUCTION IN A DRAIN LINE ALSO,

Drain pan leaking?

there is a drip pan located underneath you ref but most likely your prob is a plugged drain line coming from the freezer. when you ref goes into automatic def the water doesnt run out into the drip pan but instead onto your floor..

you can clean the drain line by removing the rear cover in the freezer compartment and using hot water to thaw the drain below the evap coil.
