How many times do this standby light blinks at a time of switch on? These blinks are fault indications. From the number of these blinks, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. Count it. If you wish to get more details about the blinking codes to Sony TVs, check this link.
Sir reset the lamp timer of your unit. 1 Press "Display" on the remote, followed by the 5 button, then the sound up key, and "power on". Do this while the tv is in stand by mode. 2 Then press "jump" 3 times to enter DE service menu. The tv screen will display the total lamp time hours. 3 Reset the the lamp time by pressing channel 3, then mute, then enter. This will return lamp timer back to 0. Hope this may help good day and best regards.
Blinking of standby light in Sony TVs are fault indications. You just count the exact number of blinks occurs at a time after switch it ON. Switch it ON and OFF by its front panel power switch, and not by the remote control handset. Do this for at least four times, count the number of blinks, confirm and inform me. I can then locate the fault section of your Tv, seometimes even to the exact point of fault too. OK
