Frigidaire side by side won't get cold on either side

Check compressor relay, if you change the relay and compressor does not start the compressor is damage, if start and don't get cold need refrigerant.

My frigidaire refrigerator is making a clicking noise,at interval, and the freezer has defrosted and it is not refreezing. What must I do?

Hi!
That is probably the compressor relay
The relay is on the compressor and needs replaced
A relay starts the compressor with a higher voltage and then quickly kicks out
Thats what is happening with yours
Its best for a tech to replace The relay but you can do it
Take your model number to your Local Appliance parts store they will have a diagram
showing you how to install the relay. Its called a hard start relay

Thank you for using fixya

I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT RELAY SWITCH AND THE COMPASITOR ON MY SISE BY SISE FRS26H7CS THE COMPRESSER IS SUPPOSED TO WORK BUT SO9METHING TO DO WITH THE TWO STAGES THAT DOESNT WHEN IT TURNS ON. CAN ANY ONES...

The Compressor starter is what they are talking about, when the compressor is first sent power the start side of the compressor is energized, after 5 seconds the switch swaps over to the run side. If the capacitor is shorted out it will not have the power needed to start and run. There is not condenser relay, it is a compressor relay. I need more correct info to help you further.

My frigidaire side by side quit cooling about two months ago i un pluged it cleand everything and let it sit for about 3 days pluged it back in and it worked for almost 2 months now it is not cooling again...

there sunds to me like there is a problem with you defrost cycle.how ever how need to look for any ice build up in the bottom side of the freezer section.
while the unit is the cooling mode open the freezer door and listen for a fan running if you do not hear a fan running you may need to replace it the door switch should be held in while you are checking this.

then i would alos look at the overload relay and start switch on the compressor.

COMPRESSOR NOISE

You probably should replace the start relay before it burns out the compressor terminals.

Buzzing compressor

heres a part number for the overload relay assy 5304468029.. its mounted on the side of compressor. its a tricky one, usually my experience has been the noise comes from a bad compressor( which you should have 5 year full warr from manufacture). sometimes the overload relay does go bad preventing compressor from starting, the n ew compressor will come with a new overload relay
