I'm trying to hook up my Panasonic DVD player (model DVD-S29) to a Comcast cable box but have not been successful. My DVD player only has Audio Out connections, with no audio in connections. I hooked up the DVD player to the TV using the red/yellow/white cables. Cable in wall is hooked up directly to Cable Box (Scientific Explorer 2200 obtained through Comcast). Cable Box has a cable that hooks up directly to the TV. But I'm not sure how to attach the DVD player to cable box or TV. TV has only one set of input connections. Thank you in advance for your advice.

The cable in should go to the box and cable out from the box to the TV.These should all be coaxial cables correct?Hook up the DVD player to the TV using the red,white,and yellow cables is also correct.In order to watch a DVD,you have to use the input select button on the remote for the TV ONLY to change inputs.If you have a universal remote for the TV and not the original factory remote provided with the TV,you need to use the menu button located on the outside of the TV.I just searched on my flat screen and was unable to find an input select through the menu button.It may not be possible on this TV if you do not have the original remote and if you own a universal.My universal for one of my older TV's is about 7 years old so I do not know if newer ones have an input select option.If they do not,it is most likely due to patents and royalty payments which these cheap remote makers do not want to pay.Anyhow,let me know if this helps.Just comment here and i will get an auto link to your comments.Good luck!
