Approximately 31 years ago I purchased an Atari Video Computer system for my then 8 year old daughter. I still have it along with quite a few games, joy sticks, etc. About 8 years ago, during a move, the person helping me inadvertantly through away the power adapter for the Atari. Over the last few years I have searched in vain for a replacement. It is a CX-2600 console. Do you have any idea where I can get a power adapter for this game? I've tried adaptor kits but none of them fit. Can you help?

THIS COULD BE CAUSED BY THE FABRIC AND THE SOAP ALONG WITH THE SOIL.
IF YOU NOTICE THE FABRICS YOU ARE USING NOW ARE DIFFERENT THEN THE ONES YOU USED A FEW YEARS AGO THIS MIGHT BE THE PROBLEM.
HAVE YOU CHANGED SOAP OR STARTED USING A FILTERED OR ro WATER SYSTEM? THIS TOO WILL EFFECT THE WATER CHEMICAL MAKEUP AND COULD CAUSE THIS. ALSO DID YOU CHANGE SOAPS?
I purchased 125 coins on December 31, 2013 and updated to Facebook, and it took all my coins away. I had 150 coins and I want them back. It also started my level over to the beginning. This action happened on my smartphone. I use my daughter's Facebook page, however, the purchases are made from my account and cell phone, Penny Herron. My email address for my phone is [email protected]
The game cartridges are probably dirty, and as such the system has problems reading them. Take a look at this page on how to clean the cartridges and hopefully they will work.
Go to the retailer you bought it from and if you bought it less than two years ago you can get a new one free with the exchange of the old one only if you have the warranty
You can't run a 2600 on composite. Even though the connector looks the same it isn't. You need a RF modulator to seperate the signals and you need an old school one that has a manual switch on it. Check at Radio Shack they carry things like that.
Modulators with AV jacks like I use for watching my DVD on when I only have a coax on my television won't work becuase the atari line doesn't separate the signal outside the box by audio and video. That wasn't something being done 30 years ago. In fact it wasn't being done until NES came out.
If Radio Shack doesn't carry it you can probably find one on E-Bay.
You can always find classic Atari 2600 games for your PC. I know I play the Activision Games that way from time to time.
