A paper jam was not cleared in a timely manner, now the machine will only display "Error Code C0202, Call Technician" It is Saturday and I can not get a hold of anyone at our support center. How can I clear this error so the copier is functioning?

To clear error code SC669-03 on a Ricoh MP2501 machine, try the following steps:

1. Turn off the machine and unplug it from the power source.
2. Wait a few minutes, then plug the machine back in and turn it on.
3. Perform a reset by holding the "Clear Modes" button for 5 seconds.
4. If the error persists, check for jammed paper in the paper tray or paper path.

The error code C0202 indicates paper jamming in tray 1, C-O204: Tray-2, C-0206: Tray-3, C-0208: Tray-4. First of all, power off and unplug your copier, then empty paper from the problem tray and from the tray below it. Take out the problem tray, now you can see a paper jammed.

There does not appear to be a Model C270 in the hp photosmart printer models. Do you mean it displayed a "C270 error code" in what Model No. Printer? The error code C270 indicates a paper jam/misfeed error.You possibly have paper remnants still inside Machine. You could remove drawers from machine, and look inside for remnants of paper. Maybe try turning machine off and on using red switch at knee level. If there is truly nothing blocking a jam sensor, then problem is likely a bad sensor. 99% of the time HP does not make replacement parts available to out-of-warranty printers. That's why I had to dump my C5550 HP Photosmart All-in-one printer; my office machine repair business could not get the replacement sensor! When a paper jam occurs, the printer stops and the operator panel's Paper Jam light and Continue button lights come on. Press and release Continue twice quickly to display the specific secondary error paper jam light sequence.

How to clear Paper Jam

?· Press Continue button twice quickly to see the secondary error code.

To get the secondary error codes

?· When the Error light (!) and Continue button lights are both on, a secondary error has occurred.

?· When the Paper Jam light (4th light) and Continue button lights are both on, a paper jam secondary error has occurred.

?· Press and release Continue button twice quickly to display the secondary error code light sequence.

Press Continue button to resume printing once all the jammed pages are cleared from the paper path.

We recommend that you clear the entire paper path when a paper jam occurs.

To clear a paper jam:

1 If you are feeding paper from a tray, remove the tray, and then remove any jams.

2 Open the front cover and remove the print cartridge assembly.

NOTE: Do not leave the print cartridge assembly exposed to direct light for an Extended period of time. Extended light exposure can cause print quality problems.

3 Remove any jams in the area behind the print cartridge assembly.

4 Lift the flap at the front of the printer and remove any jams beneath the flap.

5 Open the rear exit and remove any jams.

6 After you have cleared the jams, reinstall the print cartridge assembly, make sure all printer covers and trays are closed, and then press Continue button to resume printing.

NOTE: The printer reprints the pages that caused the paper jam.

c0202 means that the top paper tray is not rising to bring the paper in contact with the feed rollers. Remove all of the paper from the tray and try turning the machine off and on with the paper tray not pushed in to the machine. Good luck.

Error 51 is a paper jam code. Remove the paper tray in the front and the jam clear cover in the back (the light gray plastic piece in the center of the rear of the printer) and pull out any paper you can see.

Once you've removed the paper, the jam code should clear on the display, but if it doesn't, try resetting the machine. If the jam code is still there, that means there is still paper somewhere inside the machine. Check again to make sure you didn't miss any, and also lift the scanner bed to see if you can see any paper under there. (To lift the scanner, lift up with the tabs on either side until the scanner locks into place.)

This error is displayed when the Fixing heater has not reached normal operating temperature after a specified time.
It is usually a blown heater element.

this is a tray 1 lift up failure code pull the paper tray out and check to see if some torn paper is blocking the lift sensor look around where the paper is fed into the feed plates if not it could be a failed lift motor or sensor and they will need to be replaced

Cancel printing, turn off the machine. Then clear the jammed paper or protective material that is preventing the FINE cartridge holder from moving, and turn the machine on again. If not remedied, turn off machine, unplug the power cord of the machine from power supply. Plug machine back in and turn power back on. If problem is not resolved, please contact service center.
