Turn off the machine, remove the carriage, check that nothing is hitting against the arm and try again.

Why won't my silver ch01 embroidery machine accept the embroidery carriage

There could be several reasons why your Silver ch01 embroidery machine is not accepting the embroidery carriage. Here are a few things you can check:
  1. Make sure the embroidery carriage is properly aligned with the machine. Check the user manual to see if there are any specific instructions on how to attach the carriage.
  2. Check if the embroidery carriage is clean and free from any debris. If it's dirty, clean it with a soft, dry cloth.
  3. Ensure that the embroidery carriage is compatible with your machine. Some embroidery carriages are specific to certain machine models, so double-check that you have the correct one.
  4. Check the connection between the machine and the embroidery carriage. Make sure that the carriage is firmly connected to the machine and that there are no loose connections.
  5. If none of the above solutions work, there may be a mechanical issue with your machine. In this case, you should contact the manufacturer or a qualified technician for further assistance.

Embroidery unit

This can happen, click back to tools option check whether hoops selection is correct. If this is not the problem, off your machine then put on again. If message remain pull out the embroidery carriage & push in again. Hope it can work.
In jam situation, just exit from your embroidery option, fix the jam by moving the embroidery carriage, work on a different design and see if it work. Sometime a design may not work fully.

My Husqvarna designer SE embroidery unit keeps giving an error message "install hoop correctly". I've checked everything but can't get around the message. can anybody help ,?

You have probably got the machine set to use a different size hoop. Click on the hoop icon and change it to the size you are using. Hope this helps you.

My Singer Futura CE-250 Continues to give me an "Internal Error" message

You need a technician for this type of problem.
Electronic machines have built-in 'traps' that not only indicate when an untrained person has opened up a machine (thus voiding any warranty) but that may also interrupt circuitry that may keep the machine from working once the electronic part is reconnected.

Carriage of my futura 200 is stuck

Turn off the machine, remove the Hoop from the embroidery arm, then turn it back on. You'll notice some of the hoops have an extra piece of metal that the machine identifies it with. Mine just didn't like the hoop I had on.

On 955E embroidery unit, the large black gear snapped

Welcome to FixYa. Hi - Viking has online tutorials for several of the 955E features, including embroidery.
Here is a link to the 955E tutorials. If the link isn't active, paste it into your brower window.

As mentioned in the next paragraph, you can order a manual from your Viking dealer if you don't have yours. The Viking manuals aren't very expensive, and it is well worth having. You'll find detailed instructions for inserting and calibrating the embroidery arm, which happens everytime you insert the emb arm. See the Hints and Tips paragraph below.
If your machine is broken, the 955E Parts manual lists each part number in the machine, and the 955E Service Manual should provide instructions for repair. But because the 955E is not discontinued (as far as I know), the dealer might not be willing to sell you those manuals or order the parts you need. eBay often has Parts and Service manuals for sale for current model Viking machines, or you might be able to find them for sale on other web sites. Keep in mind that if your machine is still under warrantly, you risk voiding the warranty if you attempt to remove the covers and perform a "non-consumer" repair.
Some general hints and tips for inserting and removeing your embroiodery arm and navigating the Viking web site:
  • Always turn your machine off when you attach or remove your embroidery arm or when you insert or remove an embroidery design card.
  • When you insert your embroidery arm, insert an embroidery design card. When you turn your machine back on, you should see a message on the info screen that says something like "embroidery arm will move". Press OK, and the embroidery arm will calibrate.
  • After the embroidery arm has calibrated, place your hoop on the embroidery arm.
  • Look at each end of your embroidery arm - you will find a connector that must slip into a corresponding connector on the embroidery machine. This connector slides into a corresponding connector on the machine. The connector on the machine has a cover that slides open and closed. If it is closed, it you might not spot it right away. You must open this slot when you attach the embroidery arm - slide the embroidery arm straight back (not at an angle), so the embroidery arm connects to the machine securely. Although you might need to nudge the embroidery arm in place, do not force it!

Trouble with Viking 955E Embroidery Unit and Control Panel

Welcome to FixYa. Hi - Viking has online tutorials for several of the 955E features, including embroidery.

The Viking site also has projects for the 955E that will help you learn to use some of the features - you can probably sew most or all of the free projects on the site, but projects for the 955E incorporate features on your machine that might be available on others. And look for the free designs!
Hope this helps get you started.  If you and other readers have a minute to rate this information (good or bad, or indifferent), your rating will help me determine if I understood your question and if my answer is helpful.
A few more recommendations...You can order a manual for your machine from any Viking dealer and probably online, and I recommend that you do. Your machine has some very cool sewing and embroidery features. I sold Vikings, so I can answer specific questions about many individual features, but Viking manuals are not expensive and can help you save time and avoid irritating problems.

If you have more questions, please comment and I will do my best to help you further. I am pleased to answer general questions about embroidery, if you want hints and tips or run into problems.

Cheers, Ginny
