Doesn't seem to be compatible with windows 7. used to work fine. do i just try to reformat it or do i need a new driver????

It could be that your partition on the drive became corrupted, in which case you can just reformat and it will be fine, or it could be the drive went bad, which does happen. Hard drives are like light bulbs, they go out after a few years. If the hard drive is bad you can actually open up the box and replace the drive with new one, or you can buy a new external setup.

I have a hp pavillion ze5385us hard drive making all kinds weird sounds with stop:0x0000008E and vertical lines in center of screen besides a new hard drive can this be fixed andis this worth fixing?

You may have two problems, or just one.

The disk-drive is "failing" -- if it is "misreading" the "wallpaper" picture, then the viewed wallpaper will look to be "corrupted".

Backup all your files, to DVD-writable or USB memory-sticks,
before the disk-drive completely "dies".

Given that you have a "Athlon 64 3800+", it's worth replacing the disk-drive, reinstalling Windows, and restoring your files from your backup.
Much cheaper to replace the disk-drive than to buy a new computer.

WHATS UP WITH MY LAPTOP 3623

Hi,

This issue normally means that your hard drive is bad. What the computer is trying to tell you is that it attempted to locate Windows, but it can no longer be found. The Hard drive is normally the case for this message. If you want to be sure its the hard drive I would suggest downloading http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html and boot from this CD try and access the hard drive with this cd, if you cant the Hard Drive is toast. If you can the OS became corrupt and could still mean the Hard Drive is close to being toast. Either way throw the toast in the trash and buy a new Hard drive. http://www.newegg.com/

Try this site to look for hard drives. Not just any drive will work, so make sure you confirm with the company's sales or tech support to make sure it'll work.

Brought computer an memory is full

Memory cannot be "full", Hard Disk space can be full. Is this what you are referring to? To free up more memory you can shut down some programs, you can also uninstall programs and delete files to free up more hard disk space. Or buy a new hard drive.

http://www.belkin.com/support/ this link might help you. you might have to call them and find out. My solution to this is that if it has done all this in the last month or so i would suggest returning it to the company and buy a different brand. that is just a suggetion

hope this works for you
