You won't know what battery it takes until you pop the back off and see what battery is in there. I've opened two identical watches and on the inside they had different movements that required two completely different size batteries. The trickiest part with Disney watches I've done is if it's musical, getting that to reset. Be careful, a lot of people don't realize how easy it is to mess up those tiny little parts, get dust in there, put the back back on wrong etc...
Shortcut battery with AC contact. AC can be found on the sides of watch movement(very tiny). You have to use pointed tweezers: one end on battery+, another on AC contact for three secs. this video is only an example as to what to do hope this helps you.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogCz2vjUKVg
Take the battery out again and let the watch "rest" for a couple of hours without the battery. That sometimes resets the Quartz mechanism, and will allow a clean restart. Also, refer to the following info if needed.
Timex has two ways to find information about your particular watch. Some of these models only have a guide consisting of a few pages. If you don't have the manual, Try this link:
Now, look up the model number, or if you cannot find that, check the three-digit Module Number from the back of the watch. Click on it in the Module Table, and download a PDF of your watch setting-instructions/manual.
If you need further help, call Timex in Little Rock, Arkansas, phone 1-800-448-4639. I hope this helps you. Thanks, Bill
mcdevito75 here, I'm figureing you"ve changed the battery, Pressing the MODE button should re-start your watch. If you didn"t change the battery and your watch just stopped, try pressing the MODE or any button to re-start the watch. If nothing, change the battery and repeat the above instructions.
That letting the watch run is far better than turning it off.
Due to battery draining over time, and Just fact that if its not running for an extended amount of time it may not restart.
If planing to leave it inactive for extended time have the battery removed if not just let it run.
Hope this tip helps.
Have had numerous customers come in and have battery changed in a watch that was working fine. stopped the watch and the watch would not restart. (Just our humble observation).....
You will likely need to get back into the watch and connect the battery to the "AC" in the watch with a pair of tweezers. Connecting these once or twice for a few seconds should reset the watch and allow you to set it.
I suggest that your watch has an oxidized contacts and electricity can not reach the movement. Do as folloes: Take out the batttery, Clean (scrape) all battery related contacts till they are shiny (use hardened steel needle for that), Use the dust blower to get rid off any tiny dust and dirt particles after cleaning, Refit the battery back. Now your watch should work again. If all written above do not help, then there is a problem with your watch and you will need the help of the watchmaker. Do not forget to rate, please.
1) Take off white plastic cover so that the only metal cover is seen 2) Notice in upper right corner there is a "golden" pad - tiny one and in the metal cover there is an engraving AC. Use some needle like (conducting) object and connect this pin to metal cover (ground) - this will reset your watch.
