I have an Acer Aspire 5000. I tried to access the bios but is asking me for a password. I tried all the passwords I was able to find on the internet but nothing seems to work. How can I remove the password or reset it?

BIOS user passwords are the kiss of ***** - they lock you out ahead of the boot process. You can't reach Windows because the system won't even allow you to access any of the drives (including USB devices.) You need to go back to whoever you got the machine from and find out what the password is and disable it when you are able to access the BIOS screens.
The one that can access the bios password is the last one who reformat your unit. If you can not reached the said person?... Only some certified Acer aspire technicians can remove the bios password.
Try these WEB sites for REMOVE BIOS PASSWORD PC BIOS toolkit is a password removal/decrypt and BIOS settings modification/backup/restore. http://www.syschat.com/download120.html&act=down CMOSPwd - CMOS password recovery tools http://majorgeeks.com/CmosPwd_d239.html Using a computer with Internet access, download the files from these WEB sites and create a bootable CD disc to run them.
