Forgot password to logon - Averatec 3120V Notebook

Once logged in, you should be able to make changes in the "profile" section.

If you don't know your logon, there should be a selection for "forgot logon" or "forgot password'>

Which Password? Bios Password? Hard Drive Password? Windows Welcome Screen User Logon Password?

Which Operating System? Windows XP? Windows Vista? Windows 7?

After you logon, you can remove the account password in Control Panel.
If you forgot Windows logon passowrd, you can create a Windows password reset disk to reset your lost or forgotten Windows password, i have created one with the tool Windows Password Breaker and reset my administrator password successfully.

Press ctrl+alt+del at user logon window
it will open new logon window
in the usename write administrator and leave the password box blank

is ur password displayed during startup (POST) or in windows ? if it is display during POST, remove the CMOS battery for while and back on. And if it is in windows, start the computer in safe mode (by pressing F8 key during startup) and change the logon password. hope it works.

is this a bios password (you enter on a black screen with white writing) or your windows logon password.

If its your windows logon reboot, and before the windows logo appears hold F8 for safe mode. at the logon prompt clear the user and type Administrator for the use and leave the password blank. From there you can go to the control panel and clear the user's password.

If you forgot your logon password you will have to start up in safe mode, logon as admin in safe mode , go to the run box and open it, type control userpasswords2 in the run box, then press ok, a user account's box will pop up, you can reset the password from there.

i got confuse a little.... which password u forgot either power on password or Windows logon password.

whatever it is here is the solution.

1. for power on password :

Remove the Battery and put back... that's it.

2. Windows logon password :

Type 2 times : Ctrl+Alt+Enter, u will get windows 2000 logon prompt, there type Administrator then enter, obviously u will get in,

Incase if u r not, then use WINDOWS KEY ENTERPRISE software, Surely this will help u.

you can logon using administrator a/c
on logon screen press ctlr+alt+del & type administrator
or use password breaker software.
serch for it on google.u will find it

plz go though the administrator login and change the your logon password in the control pannal users accounts setting.

If the condition is apply for workgroup systems only.
