If heated grips have stopped working it is far easier and usually cheaper to completely replace everything than it is to buy a replacement part from the original manufacturer.
A friends grips stopped working and was quoted £60 ($100) from Honda for the switch alone. We removed everything and replaced with a good replacement (Dr Bike) for £30 ($50) with the added advantage of new soft grips. Not a difficult job at all and all at half the price. Let amount of hours estimated be x:

Expected rate: $18000/(x hours)

Time spent extra: 6 hours.

Totals hours spent: (x + 6) hours

New rate: $18000/(x+6 hours)

Now:

18000/(x+6) x

The new rate is less than old rate by $100, therefore we can make the above inequality equality by adding $100 to the new rate.

18000/(x+6) + 100 = 18000/x

Solve by cross multiplaction:

(18000 + 100(x+6) * x = 18000 * (x+6)

18000x + 100x(x+6) = 18000x + 108000

Simplify:

100x(x+6) = 108000 (cancel 18000x on both sides)

x(x+6) = 1080 (divide by 100)

x^2 + 6x - 1080 = 0

Solve the above quadratic equation by any method (completing square, factorization or quadratic formula)

x = (-b+-(b^2 - 4ac)^.5)/2a where a = 1; b = 6; c = -1080

x = 30 or -36 (hours cannot be negative so disregard this result)

Therefore x = Estimated time = 30 hours

Check:

18000/30 = $600 per hour x+6 = 36 $18000/36 = $500 or $100 per hour less than estimated

First of all the LIU is a daughter card that fits onto the formatter, its only function is to enable you to send and receive faxes. The ports on the formatter allows PC to communicate to printer by USB or via network.

Try printing the configuration page if this page prints correctly then you know that engine controller and the formatter are working properly together. If it doesn't print try engine test this test excludes the formatter. If engine test good then you're looking at bad formatter, and or purchasing a new printer.

hi depends who does the job are you useing a garage or are you getting a mate to do it or are you doing it yourself the parts new if its the outer cv joint it around £20-£30 the complete shaft £80-£100 new could use a breakers it would be in the region of £30-£40 for the complete shaft and an hour to change check around some people are greedy some just ask a fair price best of luck paul

Not a hard task if you coat rims with liquid detergent before trying to install new seal.
Using thumb go slowly around rim working seal all the way back.
Replacing main spring can be done by working bottom to top and then hold left side of spring in place while you pull right side in with long nose pliers.A couple of minutes difficult work and your 90% done.
Care is required so as not to puncture seal,
Main point is to ensure seal is fully seated before applying spring.
Having machine laid on its back makes the job so much easier.

This job took an hour and 30 minutes, the hour spent checking the internet first.

Of course - Empty the oven and clear off around it.

The AUTO-CLEAN cycle time is adjustable, from 2 hours
30 minutes and 4 hours 30 minutes in 15-minute increments.
Suggested clean times are 2 hours 30 minutes for light soil and
4 hours 30 minutes for heavy soil. The last 30 minutes of the
cycle is for cool down.
To Self-Clean Using AUTO-CLEAN
1. Press AUTO-CLEAN.
2. Press the TEMP/HOUR “up” or “down” arrow pad to set the
desired self-clean cycle time.
3. Press START.
The oven door will automatically lock. The “DOOR LOCKED”
and “CLEAN” indicator lights will be displayed. The time
remaining will also be displayed.
4. When the self-clean cycle is complete and the oven cools,
the “DOOR LOCKED” and “CLEAN” indicator lights will turn
off.
5. Once the oven is completely cooled, remove ash with a damp
cloth.
To Delay Start Self-Clean Using AUTO-CLEAN
1. Press AUTO-CLEAN.

Your Line Interface Unit (L.I.U.) is bad. The part # is C9138-60001. Google for part availability.
1 Open or remove the left side door.
2 Remove one screw at the left of the formatter board.
3 Disconnect the flat flexible cable from the connector.
4 Rotate the LIU around the hooks to remove.

It's about a 5 min job. Good Luck.
